Introduction: The Federal Ministry of Environment as part of the Implementation of its 2010 Budget intends to carry out Erosion and Flood Control Works in the following Selected Locations in the country,

Scope of Work:
For the above projects, the following general Scope of Work applies:
1.    Clearing the site of stumps and shrubs.
2.    Earthworks:

  • Excavation in soft earth and rocks.
  • Filling of gullies areas.
  • Back filling with approved laterites soil.

3.    Construction of Reinforced concrete Drains.
4.    Construction of Drop structures, Basins, Culverts and access slabs.
5.    Construction of embankments for dykes, small Earth Dams and retaining walls.
6.    Stone pitching and protection of slopes and embankments.
7.    Rehabilitation and grassing of destroyed environment.

Projects
LOT 1:     Bende Town Erosion Control Abia State.
LOT 2:       Kombo Erosion Control.
LOT 3:     Umuneke Obike-Ngor Okpala Gully Erosion Project in Imo State.
LOT 4:     Dadinkowa Erosion Control Plateau State.

Tender Requirements:
Interested, suitable and reputable companies are required to submit the following Pre-qualification documents. Failure to submit any of the under listed documents may result in the disqualification of the Contractor.

Certificate of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (Limited liability only).

  • Provide details of Company’s profile including the Curriculum Vitae of the key professional staff and other resources.
  • Company’s current Tax Clearance certificate for the last three (3) years. (State Tax Identification Number TIN)
  • Verifiable evidence of previous experience in the Jobs of this magnitude/nature. (Attach letter of Award and Certificate of Completion)
  • List of Equipment Owned.
  • Evidence from the company’s Bankers as to its financial capacity/Bank Support to undertake the works, if awarded.
  • Name/e-mail Address and phone number of contact person.
  • Company Audited Account for the last 3 Years.
  • Any other information that would be of advantage to the company.
  • A Latter authorizing the Federal Ministry of Environment to verify claims with relevant agencies or bodies.
  • Evidence of VAT Registration and Remittance.

  • Notwithstanding the submission of tender data the Federal Ministry of Environment is neither committed nor obligated to include your company or any bid list or award any form of contract to your company or agent.

Invitation for Expression of Interest in Auditing and Publishing of Annual Statement of Account of Nigeria Customs Service

1.    Introduction:
The Nigeria Customs Service invites interested and reputable Contractors and Firms with relevant experience to write and express interest in the above mentioned exercises under the 2010 Capital Budget Projects.

2.    Description and Scope:
Auditing and Publishing of Annual Statement of Account of the Nigeria Customs Service.

3.    Requirements:
To be considered, interested contractors must submit the following;-
a.    Evidence of company registration with Corporate Affairs
Commission,
b.    Evidence of registration as a Contractor with the Nigeria Customs Service;
c.    Evidence of current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (2007,2008 and 2009;
d.    Evidence of having fulfilled all obligations in relation to Pensions and Social Security Contributions in accordance with the provisions of the Pensions Act, 2004 and Section 16 (6) (c) of the Public Procurement Act. 2007;
e.    Evidence of VAT Registration, Remittance and Tax Identification Number (TIN);
f.    Company Profile including Key Staff and Strength;
g.    Details of equipment;
h.    Name, address of Banker(s) and letter of Reference from Bank(s)
i.    Verifiable details of similar contracts previously executed in the last five (5) years including letters of Award, Agreements and Completion Certificates.

4.    Collection of Tender Documents:
Interested companies are to collect Tender Documents from the office of the Comptroller (Technical Services), Room 145, Nigeria Customs Service Headquarters, Abidjan Street, Wuse Zone 3, Abuja.

5.   Submission of Bids:
Bid documents should each be sealed and labelled ‘Technical’ and ‘Financial’ Bids separately as appropriate, put in separate envelopes and labelled at the top right hand corner as Technical or Financial stating the name of the project in each case.

The documents are to be submitted to the address below on or before Monday 4th October 2010 by 4,00pm.

6.    Opening of Tenders:
Representatives of the bidding companies and members of the public, especially Civil Rights Organizations are invited to witness the opening of the tenders on Tuesday 5th October 2010 by 10,00am at the address below
