UNDER MDGs TEXTBOOKS INITIATIVE

Introduction

The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) is a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Education responsible for coordinating and managing   the   implementation   of   basic education in Nigeria, to ensure the provision of quality basic education to all children of school going age, with a view to attaining the MDGs and EFA goals.

In accordance with MDGs Textbooks Initiative for public primary schools nationwide, UBEC intends to procure Primary Six English Language, Mathematics and Basic Science and Technology Textbooks for the nation’s primary school system. Towards this end, UBEC hereby invites eligible Publishers to make submissions for pre-qualification for the production and supply of English Language, Mathematics and Basic Science and Technology textbooks for Primary Six in accordance with the Titles/Publishers identified by the State Universal Basic Education Boards (SUBEBs) as being used in their schools.

Pre-Qualification Requirements

Interested Publishers are required to submit the following:

  1. i.            Evidence of Certificate of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission;
  2. ii.            Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three years (2007,2008 & 2009);
  3. iii.             Evidence of Financial capability from a reputable Bank;
  4. iv.            Evidence of similar contracts executed in the last three years (200,2008 & 2009);
  5. v.            Audited   Financial   Statements   from reputable audit firms for 2007, 2008 & 2009)and
  6. vi.            Evidence of payment of pensions and social security contributions.

The United Nations Development Programme in Nigeria, through the Democratic Governance for Development (DGD) project is looking to complete a comprehensive roster of NGOs working in the area of democratic governance in Nigeria.

Invitation for Pre-Qualification for Provision of Insurance Cover for College Assets

  1. 1. Introduction:

The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria has appropriated funds in its Year 2010 FGN Budget for projects and intends to apply a portion of the funds to procure insurance cover. The College therefore wishes to procure the services of insurance companies or organizations with specific expertise, proven track record and experience in providing aviation insurance.

  1. 2. Pre-Qualification Requirements

The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria now invites eligible insurance companies to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested insurance company must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services with the following documents.

  1. i.            Evidence of registration or incorporation with Corporate Affairs
  2. ii.            Evidence of registration with NAICOM and other relevant international professional bodies will be an added advantage;
  3. iii.            Profile of insurance company including details of its directors and management total staff strength, competences, expertise and experience, such experience could include Aviation insurance management knowledge on general Aviation Insurance etc,
  4. iv.            Evidence of Re-insurance treaty arrangement;
  5. v.            Evidence of payment of claims in the last three (3) years;
  6. vi.            Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years
  7. Audited Annual financial Report of the company for the last three (3) years;
  8. Vat registration and evidence of past VAT remittances
  9. ix.            Evidence of similar insurance cover provided within the last three (3) years; (attach letters or award);
  10. x.            Evidence of remittance for pension contribution of employees to pencom;
  11. xi.            A sworn affidavit Indicating that all documents submitted are genuine and verifiable; and
  12. A sworn affidavit that none of the Directors have been convicted in any country for criminal offences. Including fraud and financial impropriety.

  1. Duration of the Insurance Services:
  • The insurance cover is for one (1) year period.
  • Insurance companies that have not done similar assignments »n me past five
  • (5) years need not Indicate interest.
