  • Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB), a procedure specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

  • Audited Financial Statements for the last 3 years to demonstrate the financial capability of the Bidder in terms of Profitability and adequate working capital.

Introduction

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development through the National Livestock Development Project which has the statutory mandate to develop Livestock Markets in the country through provision of livestock market infrastructure, is inviting interested, competent and reputable companies to submit Technical and Financial Bids for the under listed project, under Year 2010 appropriation.

Development of Livestock Market in Getso, Gwarzo Local Government Area, Kano State.

Scope of Work

The Scope of work shall include; Construction of Motorized Boreholes, Office Block, Police Post, Toilets, Shades, Perimeter Fencing etc. Details are contained in the Bidding document to be collected upon the presentation of evidence of payment of tender fee.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • In line with the Public Procurement Act 2007, interested companies are to submit the following documents;
  • Evidence of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria.
  • Possession of experience as a prime Contractor on at least five (5) projects of similar nature and complexity within the least 5 years (to comply with this requirement, works quoted should be at least 70% physically completed)
  • Evidence of Personnel capabilities, including list of key professionals;
  • Profile of the Company with copies of Memorandum and Articles of Association.
  • Having annual Auditors Report in construction works of at least N100million (One Hundred Million, Naira only) value in any of the 3 years.
  • Evidence of financial capability from a reputable Bank;
  • Full Account details including the Sort Code;
  • Documented evidence of compliance with the requirements of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Payment of tax for the last three consecutive years 2007, 2008, & 2009 with FIRS TIN Number and Evidence of VAT Registration Certificate;
  • Evidence of Pension and Social Security Contribution;
  • Office address, Phone number as well as list of available Equipments and Facilities necessary to undertake the project;
  • Possession of satisfactory Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manuals.

Qualification for Bidding

Interested companies must meet the following conditions:

  • Must be registered company with Corporate Affairs Commission (Attach evidence of registration)
  • Submit a detailed copy of its company profile including:
    • Paid up share capital.
    • List of Directors and key management staff.
    • List of requisite equipment for operation for the job its tendering.
  • Submit a list of projects that has been executed in the past five (5) years.
  • Submit a copy of its audited account in the last three (3) years.
  • Evidence of tax clearance or the past three (3) years.

Bidding

Bidding would strictly follow laid down procedure and principles of due process. Management of AGOA Centre: Application for Bids

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council, a Federal Government Agency that promotes the development and diversification of Nigeria’s non oil export trade, in its bid to realize its aspiration of developing the garment industry in Nigeria through the provision of training in modem garments manufacturing as well as the commercial production of quality garments and apparels for both local and export consumption, intends to partner with the private sector for the Management of the AGOA Human Capital Development Centre situated at No, 30 Lugard Avenue, Ikoyi, Lagos, on the basis of public private partnership (PPP) framework.

The objective is to provide Nigerians with skids in modern garment production for local and export market thereby creating a pool of entrepreneurs to take the advantage of increasing world’s demand for garments and other opportunities created under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).

The centre was established in 2006, and provided with facilities for the commercial production of various garments/apparels for local consumption and exports, Such equipments include:-

  • Single needle machines.
  • Over locking machines.
  • Double needle machines.
  • Cutting machines.
  • Button attachment machine.
  • Elastic attachment machines.
  • Feed of arm machines.

Others include:

  • A 250 KVA stand-by Generator.

Interested entrepreneurs should express their interest by providing a detailed Company profile indicating the following information.
