Introduction:

The Abubarkar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi, Plans to execute a project and is therefore inviting interested and capable contractors to submit 2010 Education  Trust Fund BOT- special Intervention:-

Construction of classrooms complex Interested bidders are to submit the following documents:

  1. i.              Evidence of registration  /Incorporation of Company by  the Corporate by the Corporate Affairs Commission,
  2. ii.            Evidence of Registration with the Federal Ministry of Works or Bauchi State Government
  3. iii.            Company Audited accounts for three years,
  4. iv.            Company’s three years income tax Clearance certificate,
  5. v.            Evidence of financial capability  and  banking support, and bank statement from a reputable bank acceptable to the school vouching for the company financial prowess,
  6. vi.            Evidence of technical qualification and experience of the key personnel;
  7. vii.            Company’s   profile   indicating Technical Management  and  Supporting  Staff  and their experience in the field
  8. Evidence of similar projects successfully executed in the last three years indicating names of the clients, consultants and certificate of practical completion
  9. ix.            List  of equipment and evidence of technology capacity
  10. x.            Evidence of VAT registration/past VAT remittance

Submission of Pre-qualification Document

All documents should be packaged in the order listed above (i-x) and submitted in a sealed envelope and marked construction of……………………… and personality deposited in the tenders box provided in the office of the Registrar, Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi between the hours of 10am to 1:00pm on Mondays to Thursday and 10am to 1:00pm on Fridays on or before 30th September, 2010.

The pre-qualification documents will be opened at the Council Chamber of the Polytechnic at a date which will be communicated at the point of the submission of the documents. Please note that this is not an invitation to tender and only successful applicants will be invited to pre-qualification. The Polytechnic is not bound to accept any particular applicant nor any condition attached

A. General Cleaning activities

  1. Cleaning of back log (1st 28 days)
  2. Cleaning of back/mopping & vacuuming of floors & carpets where applicable
  3. Daily cleaning of Toilets
  4. Daily Cleaning of drive ways and car park
  5. Daily Cleaning of glass/flush doors and windows
  6. Daily dusting of the edges
  7. Daily dusting of office furniture
  8. Daily dusting of office equipment
  9. Daily evacuation of waste
  10. Daily application of disinfectant in the whole complex floors/toilets
  11. Daily application of odour control

Weekly cleaning activities

  1. Weekly washing of the entire floors, gutters and drainages
  2. Every other week-polishing of the office furniture
  3. Removal of cobwebs (every other week)

Quarterly cleaning activities

  1. xv. Quarterly cleaning of external walls
  2. xvi. Quarterly cleaning of all light and light fittings in the complex above 3 metres
  3. xvii. Quarterly floor scrubbing
  4. xviii. Quarterly fumigation of the entire complex
  5. xix. BI-Annual cleaning of roof gutters Activities 1-19 will be undertaken by the company’s trained cleaners

Annual Cleaning activities

  1. xx. Cleaning of external glasses/walls above 20 metres

  1. B. Gardening:

Cleaning of back log (1st 28 days)

  1. Daily cleaning of garden area
  2. Daily watering of flowers/plant during dry seasons
  3. Pruning of the flowers to beautify environment (EVERY OTHER WEEK)
  4. iv. Mowing of the lawn (EVERY OTHER WEEK)

Quarterly activities

  1. Fumigation of the entire Garden Area

Annual activities:

  1. Removing the infested plants/flowers
  2. Re-planting of new flowers/pi ants
  3. Application of Manure/Fertilizer to nourish the soil

5.0     Interested and competent companies are expected to possess the following vital documents:

  1. Certificate of Incorporation or Business name
  2. Evidence of Tax clearance Certificate for the last Three (3) years
  3. VAT Registration/VAT Payment/Exemption Certificate
  4. Audited Account for the last three (3) years
  5. Evidence of fulfillment of pension contributions
  6. C.V of Key Personnel showing experience & Technical qualification.
  7. Evidence of experience of similar jobs and knowledge of the industry
  8. Evidence of financial capability vide Bank statements of Account
  9. The Bid must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of note more than 2% of the Bid price by way of Bank Guarantee issued by a reputable Bank

6.       Bidding Documents

The bidding document shall be issued to prospective bidders upon presentation of receipt for payment of N20, 000 (twenty thousand naira) only non-refundable fee payable to the Central Pay Office, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation on the 5th Floor of Block “A” Federal Secretariat Phase II. Abuja,

The tenderer shall enclose the documents requested for in one (1) sealed envelope   duly   marked   as   “Technical   Bid   For General Cleaning, Fumigation, And Gardening” of Federal Secretariat Phases II and III, Abuja, while the completed financial bid with photocopy of payment receipt shall be enclosed in a 2nd sealed envelope duly marked as “Financial Bid For General Cleaning, Fumigation And Gardening” of Federal Secretariat Phases II and III, Abuja. The two (2) envelopes containing the TECHNICAL and FINANCIAL Bids respectively shall then be enclosed and sealed in a 3rd single outer envelope bearing GENERAL CLEANING, FUMIGATION, AND GARDENING OF FEDERAL SECRETARIAT PHASEE II AND III, Abuja and delivered to the address below on or before 12.00 noon, Tuesday, 28th September, 2010.

Bid opening shall commence immediately after the closing time at

the Atiku Hall, Block A, 1st Floor, Federal Secretariat, Phase II.

Abuja. Late submissions shall be rejected.

Bidders are hereby notified that only the Financial Bids of those that their Technical Bids meet the minimum qualifying score shall be opened. The others will be returned unopened to unsuccessful bidders.
