Introduction

1.         The PHCN-Kainji Hydro Electric Plc wishes to notify the General Public of her intended procurement for the year 2011. The procurements are to funded by Federal Government Budget Appropriation, Multi Year Tariff Order (MYTO) and  internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

2.         Consequently, Kainji Hydro Electric Plc invites reputable companies, Manufacturers, Suppliers and or Contractors/consultants for expression of interest/pre-qualification for the  provision of the  Following goods services.

4.         Conditions for Eligibility

  • Interested Manufactures, Suppliers and or Contractor/consultants are hereby requested to submit Technical bids/expression of interest in writing for relevant areas of interest. The submission should include the followings:-
  • Evidence of Incorporation (Copy of Certificate or Incorporation of Nigeria or Oversea)
  • Evidence of Valid Tax Clearance (Copy of Valid Tax Certificates for the past three (3) consecutive years)
  • Evidence of VAT Certificate (copy of VAT Certificate)
  • Company profile which must include organizational structure, CVs, or Key personnel, Current  Workman Compensation Insurance, Detail of experience/Technical capability of key staff in the specified category with emphasis of project(s) executed in Nigeria.
  • Evidence of Equipment/Technical capability (Detail of equipment, Plant, Machinery and Tools owned or to hired for the execution of the project(s)
  • Evidence of manufacturers/Manufacturer Representative (copy of letter of authority)
  • Evidence of financial capability/Bank Support
  • Copy of Company Audited Accounts/Annual Reports for three (3) executive years
  • Financial statements
  • Evidence of staff Pension scheme
  • Evidence of having executed similar project(s) and knowledge of industry (copies of Orders, Delivery Note/Job Completion Certificate(s) where available.

5.         Submission of Document

Interested Contractors/Consultants should indicate  interest on Lot basis and document for different Lots must be in separate envelopes. The Pre-qualification document should be duly signed by the Company’s authorized representative. The document should be bind in four (4) copies – One (1) original and three (3) copies for each lot. The submission should be in a  sealed envelope marked “Expression of Interest/Pre-qualification for Lot …) (Please indicate Lot No. and Description of the project) at the left hand corner of the envelopes clearly indicate the name, mailing address and GSM No. of your Company on reverse side of the envelope(s) . The four (4) envelops must be enclosed in an outer envelope clearly marked as specified  above. The documents must  be addressed and submitted  on or before 2nd May, 2011 by 12.00 noon  to the:-

1. Introduction

The College of Agricultural, Jalingo Taraba State wishes to invite interested reputable and competent contractors for a Pre-Qualification Exercise for the Construction of Proposed Library Complex under ETF Special Intervention 2010.

 

2. Pre-Qualificati0n Requirement:

Pre-Qualification requirement are as follows:

i.            Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
ii.          Evidence of Registration with the Taraba State College of Agricultural Jalingo.
iii.        Evidence of Tax clearance for the last 3 years.
iv.         Evidence of audited accounts for the last 3 years.
v.           Evidence of similar works executed (catalogue required).
vi.         Company profile and organization structure of key personnel.

vii.       Details of plants and equipments/machineries owned or to be hired

viii.    Evidence of payment of pre-qualification fees. The pre qualification form is available for collection in the office of the ETF Desk Officer on Payment of non-refundable fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (20.000.00) only.

 

The pre-qualification documents will be in sealed envelopes and clearly marked Pre-qualification for construction of 1 block of Library Complex and hand delivered to the Registrar, College of Agriculture, Jalingo, Taraba state. The submission of the pre-qualification documents will close at 11: am. April, 18th 2011. The bids will be opened on the same day at 12: noon in the College Board Room in the presence of all bidders, financing/regulatory bodies, professional bodies, non-governmental Agencies and staff unions.

Interested contractors are hereby invited to submit pre-qualification documents which shall include the following

  • Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs commission
  • Verifiable Evidence of Tax Clearance for the past three (3) years VAT
  • Verifiable Evidence of Audited Account for the last (3) three years
  • Company profile giving names of list of key professional /administrative staff with their qualifications and verifiable evidence of Registration with their professional bodies
  • List of Plant and Equipment with verifiable evidence of ownership of lease
  • Verifiable Evidence of three (3) previous awards and execution of similar contractors with award letters, certificates of completion and payments within the last three (3) years etc.
  • Evidence of Franchise/ Equipment brochures and manuals as may be appropriate
  • Verifiable Evidence of finance support by a reputable Bank including one your bank statements. Contractors must demonstrate ability to finance the projects within the shortest possible period
  • Evidence of  Registration with University of Agriculture, Makurdi (Fresh Registration allowed)
  • A statement of Declaration that

a)        The Director(s) of the company seeking for pre-qualification had been convicted by any court of law.

b)       None of the key procurement officers of University of Agriculture, Makurdi or BPP is former or present Director of the company

  1. Evidence of payment of non-refundable prequalification fee
  2. Contractors who did not diligently execute nor conduct themselves properly on previous contract(s) with the University of Agriculture Makurdi need not apply

 

E.      Submission of Pre-Qualification/Tenders

1.       Contractors are to submit pre-qualification documents and Tenders in sealed envelopes appropriately marked “Prequalification”  and “Tender” against a boldly written project tile at the top left side of the envelop.

 

2.       Contractors are to submit pre-qualification/completed Tenders latest 21 days from the date of Advert. Pre-Qualification/Tender opening takes place in the Senate Chamber at 12.00 noon on the closing date.

 

3.       Pre-qualification document and completed Tenders are to be delivered to the Registrar, University of Agriculture, Makurdi

 

4.       Tenders for Projects A1, A2 and B1 to be submitted along with 2% bid-security from reputable Bank. The bid-security is to be made out in a certified Cheque in favour of University of Agriculture, Makurdi. This shall be promptly returned for the Tenderers who fail pre-qualification or and Tenders, Those who win the contracts shall be refunded of the bid-security After Mobilization to site.

 

F.      Collection of Tenders Documents

Tender document are to be collected from the Directorate of Physical Planning for further necessary information and assistance please, consult with the Director, Physical Planning

 

G.      General Information

The advertisement shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of the University nor shall it entitle the interested contractor to make any claims whatsoever and seek indemnity from the University

  • Improperly completed signed and addressed Tenders/ Pre-qualifications document shall not be entertained
  • The University reserves the right to verify the authenticity of any claims made in pre-qualification document and reject same as deem fit
