1.0     The Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria hereby invites prequalification and tenders from interested contractors, companies/firms, for the execution of TETFUND Normal intervention projects for the year 2012

 

2.0     Proposed Projects

3.0     Pre-Qualification Requirements

3.1     Interested contractors, companies/firms are required to submit the following documents with their written application.

i.        Company Profile

ii.       Evidence of registration as contractor with Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic and Kaduna State Government.

iii.      Certificate of Incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

iv.      List of similar jobs executed in the past 5 years

v.       Evidence of Tax Clearance certificate for the past 3 years

vi.      Evidence of VAT registration and past VAT remittance (2010-2012)

vii.     A letter of credibility from the bank as a customer that maintain an account in the bank

viii.    Evidence of Audited Account for 3 years

ix.      Evidence of compliance with pension reform act 2004

x.       Evidence of compliance with the provision of the industrial training fund amendment act as stipulated in section 6(1)-(3).

xi.      List of equipment and technology capacity

 

4.       Tender Documents

 

Only contractors, Companies/firms who have satisfied the pre-qualification requirements above, may be allowed to tender, on payment of a non-refundable fee of N20, 000.00 Tender document are available at the office of the Director, Physical Planning Department, on presentation of evidence of payment.

 

5.       Submission Requirement

 

All completed tender documents must be sealed and marked “Confidential Tetfund 2012 Normal Intervention Tender Lot ……” and returned to the office of the Registrar, not later than 12noon, on 29th August 2013. The documents will be opened at 12:30pm on the closing date at the Board Room of the Polytechnic.

The polytechnic is not bound to accept any tender and is not obliged to give reason(s) for any unsuccessful application.

The Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a grant from Global Environment Facility Trust Fund towards the cost of the Nigeria Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) Management Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

 

The consulting services (“the Services”) include National Baseline Inventory of PCBs and PCB Containing Equipment Under Nigeria PCBs Management.

 

The Federal Ministry of Environment now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. Part of the short listing criteria are: Knowledge of the subject matter and experience of the firm in carrying out similar assignment in the past. The firm must demonstrates

 

(A)    Evidence of having performed three this similar and related assignments in the last five years

(B)     Evidence in the working with Donor funded organization especially with World Bank group

(C)     Evidence of Legal Entity

(D)    Evidence of last three years Audited account – 2010, 2011, and 2012

(E)     Provision of evidence of compliance with section 6 (l)-(3) of the ITF         Amended Act No. 19 of 2011

(F)     Three years Tax clearance Certificate, VAT, etc

 

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants (under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants) by World Bank Borrowers January, 2011 (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

 

Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub consultancy to enhance their qualifications.

 

A Consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the Quality- and Cost Based- Selection Method (QCBS) set out in the Consultant Guidelines.

Tendering Requirements

 

Reputable firms are free to bid for maximum of two lots or sub lots and are required to submit the following documents.

i.        Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

ii.       Evidence of tax clearance and TIN number

iii.      Verification of financial capability from reputable bank.

iv.      Comprehensive company profile.

v.       Evidence of previous job( s) done

 

Tenders shall commence and run from 15th – 23rd July, 2013 by 10:00am.

 

Submitted tenders shall be opened on Tuesday 23rd July, 2013 at the school STEP-B Hall at 11:00am prompt with representatives of the Tenderers in attendance.

 

Tenders shall be properly marked, as lotted and addressed to:
