The Federal College of Education, Obudu, Cross River State, invites expression of interests from competent/qualified contractors and suppliers who may wish to “pre-quality and Tender” for the following capital projects in the College.

Projects:

2012 Tetfund Special Intervention Project

  • Construction of 200 Capacity Lecture Hall with Offices, Security House, Gate House, generator House and External Works at Main Campus
  • Procurement of l00 2-seater Q300 pupils furniture
  • Procurement of 15no semi executive table and chair for office furniture

 

1.       Pre-Qualification Requirements

  1. Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
  2. Evidence of recent Annual Returns to corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
  3. Evidence of current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (i.e 2010, 2011 and 2012)
  4. Evidence of VAT certificate and VAT Remittance to Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS)
  5. Evidence of financial capability and Bank Support (Bank reference, bank statement of account for the last three (3) months and letter authorizing the college to verify from the named bank.
  6. Evidence of similar and verifiable projects successfully executed by your company in the past five (5) years including scope of project, location of project, contract sum, letter of award and completion certificate.
  7. Company profile with list of staff, including curriculum vitae, competencies, qualifications, registration with relevant professional bodies and experienced key personnel.
  8. Evidence of possession of plants and equipment and a list of such plants as possessed ‘owned by the firm, state location of the plants and equipment for ease of verification.
  9. Evidence of current Audited accounts of firm for the last three (3) years (i.e 2010, 2011 and 2012)
  10. Evidence of compliance with Pension ACT 2004
  11. Evidence of compliance with ITF Remission.
  12. State clearly your company’s full contact address, GSM phone number and E-mail for ease of communication
  13. Sworn affidavit that:
    1. The firm is not bankrupt
    2. None of the Directors is an ex-convict or bankrupt and
    3. No officer of the procurement entity is a former or present director, shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidder and
    4. All information presented in the bid is true and correct in all material particulars.
    5. Articulated work plan and methodology.

 

2.       Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents

Pre-qualification Document should be submitted in a sealed envelope with “pre-qualification as Contractor Supplier” written at the top left hand corner of the envelop; It should be hand delivered not later than 29th July, 2013. The submission of pre-qualification documents closes by 12noon of Monday 29th July, 2013 and the opening of pre-qualification documents will be on Monday 29th July, 2013 at the Provost Conference Room by 12noon. The document should be addressed to:

3.       Collection of Bid Documents:

Only those that met the requirements will be invited to collect financial bids from the Procurement Officer upon payment of a non-refundable tender fee of N30.000.00 (Thirty Thousand Naira) only for Construction works and N10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira) only for Supplies. The payment should be made to First Bank Nigeria Plc with Account number: 2012555550, Account Name: Trust fund Account FCE Obudu; payment teller returned to bursary department of the college to obtain receipt.

 

Submission of Tender Documents

Financial bid document of the pre-qualified contractors should reach the college not later than 3rd August, 2013. The submission of bid documents closes by 12noon of Tuesday 3rd August, 2013 and the opening of bid documents will be on Tuesday 3rd August, 2013 at the Council Chamber by 12noon.

The University of Maiduguri intends to lease manage its property located in Utako District of Abuja and hereby invites interested competent and reputable companies/organizations that deal in hospitality and tourism business to offer proposals to that effect.

 

The property, which is for multi-functional use, consist of a four floor 66 rooms fully furnished edifice with ancillary facilities such as a new 500KVA dedicated transformer, a new 250KVA soundproof standby generator, multipurpose/conference halls, offices space, kitchen, laundry and parking space for minimum of fifty vehicles. The property is also connected to municipal facilities and fully fenced with standard gatehouse.

Requirements

  1.     Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

  13.  Evidence of relevant verifiable experience on similar hospitality and tourism business in Nigeria over the last Five (5) years stating, cost, duration of execution with letters of a ward and copy of agreement, etc.
  14.  Evidence of Corporate Social Responsibility,
  15.  Certified bank draft for non-refundable fee of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000.00) payable to University of Maiduguri

It should be noted that failure to provide any of the above listed requirements and complexity on the conditions stated will automatically disqualify the bidder

Financial Offer

The financial offer should also contain the proposed of lease management, schedule of payments, terms/conditions and Bid Security of 2% of the bid price from a reputable bank.

Submission

The bid documents are to be in sealed envelopes clearly marked (ABUJA PROPERTY LEASE MANAGEMENT) to be submitted to the Office of the Director, University of Maiduguri Consultancy Services Ltd. Submission of bids shall close at 2:00p.m on 26th August, 2013 to be followed immediately by opening of the submitted bids in the University’s Council/Senate Chamber. Collection of Prequalification Documents

 

Prequalification documents are obtained in the office of the Registrar Plateau State University Bokkos upon payment of non-refundable processing fee of N20,000.00 for Lots 1, N7,500.00 for Lot 2 and N5,000.00 each for Lots 3-6 in the Bursary Department of the University 1st August 2013 between 11:00am to 3:00pm.

 

Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents

 

All application accompanied by the relevant documents attached and sealed in an envelope indicating the Lot. At the top-left corner of the envelop. The name, address of the company and telephone number of the company should also be clearly written on the reverse site of the envelop.

 

All documents are to be submitted in the Tender box provided in the Registrar’s Office Plateau State University Bokkos, not later than 10:00am 1st August 2013.

The University reserved the right to reject any bid that it deems not responsive and shall not enter into any correspondence with any Contractor/Company

 

Note:

1)      Failure to submit the documents mentioned above disqualifies a Contractor/Bidder.

2)      Only financial bids of Pre-qualified Contractors will be opened, non-responsive bids will be returned unopened to the Bidders.

3)      The University reserved the right to verify all claims and documents        submitted by Bidders for Pre-qualification.

4)      Should any Contractor/Bidder have any doubt about items on the Pre-qualification/tender advert, such doubts should be referred to the Registrar, Plateau State University, Bokkos.

 

Contractors are to attend the meeting for the opening of the pre-qualification documents. The list of successful pre-qualified companies will be displayed on the University’s notice board in front of the Administrative building. Only pre-qualified contractors shall be invited to tender for the projects accordingly.
