Federal Science and Technical College, Doma Nasarawa State intends to carry out procurement of works and services under the 2013 Budget Appropriation in compliance with the requirements of the Public Procurement Act, 2007.

 Tendering Requirements

 All Tenders must be accompanied with the following documents:

(1)     Evidence of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission

(2)     Evidence of Professional and Technical qualifications of key staff for the project

(3)     Evidence of previous similar jobs executed with Award Letters and Completion Certificates

(4)     Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the past three years

(5)     Evidence of PENCOM registration/ compliance (Certificate)

(6)     Evidence of VAT registration (Certificate)

(7)     Evidence of registration with Federal Ministry # of Works

(8)     Evidence of financial capability and banking support

(9)     Audited Accounts for the past three years

(10)   Evidence of Registration with Industrial Trust Fund (ITF)

(11)   Sworn Affidavit to indicate that the Company is not in receivership, insolvent or bankrupt and none of its Directors was ever convicted of fraudulent activity or a staff of FME/FSTC Doma

 

Note:

i.        Each Tenderer will pay a non-refundable deposit of Twenty thousand naira (N20, 000.00) only in Bank Draft, payable to the Principal, FSTC, Doma at the Bursary Department.

 ii.       All Tenders are to be submitted in sealed envelopes and clearly marked on it, the title/ name of Lot/job applied for and addressed to The Secretary, Tenders Board, Federal Science & Technical College, Doma, Nasarawa State.

 iii.      Tenders Board will not be bound to accept the lowest of the tenders

 iv.      Each Lot shall be bided for separately

Closing Date

 Opening of Technical bids shall be concluded before financial bids of Successful bidders shall be done, all taking place on or before 17th September 2013.

j)       Evidence of compliance with Industrial Training Fund.

 3.       Pre- Qualification/Tender Document

 Interested Companies/ Contractors should pay a non-refundable fee of N20, 000.00 (Twenty thousand naira) only to the Treasury Services Unit of the Bank’s Head Office and a photocopy of the receipt should be attached to the pre-qualification documents.

 The completed pre-qualification documents should be enclosed in “Sealed” envelopes and the “Lot/RC No” inscribed at the right corner and addressed to:

Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Consultants for the Consultation and Study Assessment of the Forest Potential in South of Nigeria (Ekiti State)

 CONSULTANCY

 

The Ekiti State Government is presently in partnership with the United Nation, Development Programme for the study assessment of the forest potential in south of Nigeria (a case study of Ekiti State). The forest reserves in Ekiti State provides for over 80 per cent of the income of the population through agriculture and this also represents about 90 per cent of the state’s gross Domestic Product (GDP). The main revenue is from tree crops such as cocoa, oil palm and timber. The latter including both the native and exotic species. Forestry offers a lot of investment opportunities in the state. The State is therefore with the help of funding from the United Nations Development Programme gearing up efforts to manage the forest reserves well for both the native and the exotic tree species. The forest vegetation has also served as a springboard for the production of various economic tree crops, chief of which is cocoa, which remains the mainstay of the state’s economy.

 

 

In order to protect the dwindling forest reserves as a result of man’s activities in the area, the state government in partnership with UNDP is looking towards conducting a forest management and potential assessment for the state’s forest reserves. The office of the Honourable commissioner for Ministry of Budget, Economic planning and Service delivery wishes to invite interested and qualified consultants to submit relevant organisation documents for pre-qualification.

 

Scope of Work

Develop a strategic document that would reflect the assessment and potentials of Ekiti State Forest reserves with recommendation on a sustainable management frame work that would protect the forest reserves based on the following

 

  • Extent of forest resources
  • Biological diversity
  • Forest health and vitality
  • Productive functions and forest resources
  • Protective functions of forest resources
  • Socio-economic functions
  • Legal, policy and institutional framework
  • Monitoring Measures for sustainable forest management

 

 

Application Requirements

All completed tenders must be accompanied with the following:

  1. Evidence of certificate of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
  2. Evidence of income Tax Payment for the last three years
  3. Evidence of Executing Similar Jobs in the arid zone of Nigeria, with the certificate of completion.

1.0     Introduction

In line with the requirements for due process for award of contracts for capital   projects,   the   Ekiti   State   University,   Ado-Ekiti   wish   to   invite (competent/qualified contractor to pre-qualify and tender for: Renovation of University Staff School Building

  1. LOTA: 2 Blocks of 5 Classrooms each,
  2. LOTB: 2 Blocks of Classrooms each

 

2.0     Pre-Qualification Requirements

Interested contractor are invited to submit the following documents:

i.            Evidence of Registration with corporate Affairs Commission.
ii.            Evidence of Registration as Contractor with Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.
iii.            Evidence of tax clearance certificate for the last three years (State and Federal).
iv.            Evidence of VAT registration and remittances
v.            Evidence of presence of Company in Ekiti State.
vi.            Evidence of pension scheme for Company staff.
Evidence of payment of Training Contributions to the Industrial Training Fund (ITF)
Evidence of compliance with the Employee’s Compensation Act which requires that all Employers of labour must remit 1 % of the total annual emolument of their workers to the Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund.
ix.            Evidence from the Company’s bankers as to the financial capacity/capability to undertake the project.
x.            Evidence of qualified technical and professional staff

  1. Evidence of acquisition of specialized equipment (provide receipt, pictures etc),
  2. Evidence of execution of similar jobs in academic or allied environment. (Provide letter of award of contract and completion certificate for each of the projects. All documents to be arranged in the ORDER above.

 

3.0     Verification of Claims

 

Interested contractors must note that Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti reserves the right to verity claims made in the pre-qualification document submitted by them.

 

4.0     Pre-Qualification and Tenders Fees

 

Contractor is to pay a non-refundable processing of N30, 000.00. The fee should be paid in Bank Draft and addressed to Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.

 

5.0     Submission of Documents

 

a.       The pre-qualification applications with all the required supporting documents should be neatly packaged, bound and forwarded in sealed envelope and marked at the top left corner. For example: ‘Pre-qualification for the renovation of University staff school building.

b.       The completed tender’s document collected from Physical Planning Department, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, must be sealed in an envelope marked at the left corner. For example: Tender documents for the renovation of University Staff School Building.

The companies submitting the pre-qualification and tender document should write the name, mobile phone number of contract person and the name of the firm at the bottom left corner of the two envelopes. This will allow for prompt communication. The pre-qualification and tender document must reach the University not later than Thursday 27th August 2013.

 

Please note that:

i.        The pre-qualification and tender documents paper will be opened on 27th August, 2013 by 10.00am in the Senate Chamber of the University. All those who would have submitted their documents by the dead line are hereby invited to the meeting for opening of the pre-qualification and tender document.

ii.       Only the tender document of pre-qualified contractors will be opened. The two parcels (Pre-qualification and tender) should be addressed to

(1)     Introduction

 

The College hereby invites Competent/qualified Contractors for prequalification Exercise for the execution of projects under the years 2011/2012 merged Tertiary Education Trust Fund Normal Intervention.

 

(2)     Projects

 

(i)      Construction of a 500-Seater Lecture Theatre.

(ii)     Construction of Blocks of one-storey Lecture Halls and Classrooms.

(iii)    Construction of one Storey Office Building.

(iv)    Rehabilitation and Renovation of Computer Science Laboratory.

(v)     Procurement of Staff and Students’ Furniture.

(vi)    Procurement of Various Equipment and Materials for Science Laboratories.

(vii)   Procurement of Various Instructional Materials including Office &Technical

Equipment.

(3)     Prequalification Document

 

Each Contractor is required to enclose copies of the following documents to qualify for consideration.

(i)      Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

(ii)    Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the immediate past three years.

(iii)   Evidence of Value Added Tax (VAT) Registration, Tax payer Identification

Number (TIN) and Remittance.

(iv)   Evidence of necessary financial capability backed by references from a reputable bank.

(v)               Evidence of relevant verifiable experience on similar projects in Nigeria over the last five years.

(vi)   Company Audited Account for the last three (3) years.

(vii)             Evidence of compliance with the provisions of the Pension Reform Act, 2004 and the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Amendment Act, 2011 as applicable.

(viii)            Verifiable list and sources of necessary equipment and other relevant infrastructure to be used for the project

(ix)              A sworn Affidavit indicating that none of the Directors has been convicted in any Country for any criminal offence relating to fraud or financial impropriety.

(x)               Indication of Professional, Technical and Administrative staff strength with academic/ professional qualification and years of experience of key personnel available for the project.

(xi)              Evidence of Business Premises Registration.

(xii)  Evidence of valid Registration as Contractor with Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo

(xiii) A declaration or sworn affidavit indicating that all documents submitted are genuine and verifiable

 

(4)     Submission of Prequalification Documents

 

The pre-qualification packages are to be neatly bound and sealed in an envelope  appropriately marked Prequalification for 2011/2012 TETFUND Project stating the project type, at the top left hand corner of the envelope. The completed package should be addressed to:

(i)      Only the Contractors who fulfill the pre-qualification criteria would be invited to bid for appropriate projects.

(ii)     Notwithstanding the submission made, the College is neither committed nor under any obligation to include any Contractor on the final list of pre-qualified Contractors or award any form of Contract to any contractor.
