Lagos State University (LASU) invites Applications from interested, competent, reputable and qualified contractors for the supply of Furniture and Equipment in the above mentioned Laboratory and Lecture Halls.

 

Interested Contractors should pay a Non-refundable Tender Fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20, 000.00) only to the UBA Revenue Account No. 1010295541 for each Tender

 

Receipt Obtained at the Bursary will be used for the collection of “Instruction to Contractors” in the Registrar’s Office, Administrative Block II, Room 4, before Quotations are submitted.

Each Applicant should state Names, Office Address (NOT P.O. Box Address), Company’s Profile, professional Experience, Bank Credit  worthiness (which must be accompanied by a Letter from the Bank Manager), Pictures of Furniture and Equipment as applicable and any other relevant information.

 

Tenders should be submitted in sealed envelopes marked

a)     “TENDER FOR LABORATORY FURNITURE & EQUIPMENT” OR

b)    “ TENDER FOR FURNITURE FOR LECTURE HALLS”

Introduction

 

Kaduna State University intends to utilize its 2011 and 2012 Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Intervention Fund allocations in various procurements.

Qualified contractors and vendors interested in the procurement should submit technical and financial bids in respect of the following projects for consideration:

Technical/Prequalification Requirement

Interested Vendors are to comply with Prequalification documentation requirement as under to qualify for tender consideration.

1.       Evidence of Company Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.

2.       Registration with the University as Contractor/Supplier.

3.       Company Tax Clearance for the last three (3) years.

4.       Verifiable evidence of similar jobs successfully executed.

5.       Experiences and technical capabilities of the Company including also key staff profile.

6.       Evidence of financial capability and Bankers Reference

7.       Company audited accounts for the last three (3) years.

8.       Equipment and technology capacity of the Company.

9.       VAT Registration and evidence of past VAT remittances.

10.     Evidence of compliance with provision of the Pension Reform Act, 2004 indicating account relationship with a pension fund administrator and remittance of all pension contributions where applicable.

11.     Evidence of compliance with provision of section 6 (i-ii) of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) amended Act No. 19 of 2011 with regards to payment of contribution for employee training.

 

General Information

(i)      Technical and Financial submission is to be made separately in sealed envelope clearly marked “Prequalification’ and Tender respectively indicating lot under submission.

 

(ii)     Tender documents can be obtained from the respective offices of the Director Physical Planning Development and University Librarian, Kaduna State University on 22nd April, 2013 with an evidence of payment receipt of non-refundable tender processing fee of N100,000.00, N50,000.00 and N25,000.00 for Lots I. II & III and IV XI respectively as receipted by the University Bursary department.

 

(iii)    Technical and Financial bids are to be enclosed in a single envelope properly addressed and submitted to the Secretary, Tenders Committee in the office of The Registrar, Kaduna State University, Tafawa Balewa Way, Kaduna on or before Tuesday 11.00am June 4,2013. Submissions shall be Opened by 11.00am same day at Senate Chamber.

 

(iv)    Only prequalified respondents will have their financial bids opened.

 

(v)     This is only an invitation for solicitation to submit and does not bear any financial undertaking on the part of the University

Requirements:

One of the requirements for qualification as provided in the Tender documents will be to have successfully carried out, as Prime Contractor, at least two works of a nature and complexity equivalent to the proposed works during the last five years.

A.      Introduction

The Federal College of Education, Zaria, invites interested and reputable consultants to services on the construction of lecture theatre admitted in the year 2011/2012.

 

Merged TETFUND Intervention

In view of this, interested and suitably qualified firms are invited to submit their expression of interest proposal which shall be rendered in English Language. The areas of specialization are in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Quantity Surveying.

 

B.      Scope of Work

The scope of the work covers both pre and post contract consultancy services, which include but not limited to:

1.       The preparation of preliminary designs and estimates.

2.       Advising on cost alternatives.

3.       Production of detailed working drawings

4.       Preparation of detailed Bills of Quantities, Articles of Agreements, Checking of tender and preparation of tender report and

5.       Normal site supervision.

 

5.       Qualifying Criteria

Those Interested in the process are required to submit comprehensive technical and financial information as follows;

 

GENERAL

(i)      Evidence of Incorporation or Business Name Registration.

(ii)     Evidence of Current Tax Clearance (for the last three years).

(iii)    Evidence of VAT Registration and evidence of past VAT remittances/ certificates.

(viii)  Company profile with names and qualifications of key technical and administrative personnel to be used (photocopies of CVs, Registration Certificates and Numbers are required).

(ix)    Evidence of financial capability and banking support to undertake the project.

(x)     Any other relevant information that will verify claims of prospective consultants and any false declarations/ documentations attract instant disqualification.
