Submission of Pre Qualification Requirement

The pre qualification documents shall be spiral bound and package in an envelope and clearly marked pre qualification for project. Project name at eh top left hand comer of the envelope, the name, address of the company and telephone number should be clearly written on the reverse side of the envelope.

D.      Collection of Documents

Interred Companies/Firms should collect bid documents containing detailed specifications for the Procurement from the Procurement Planning Committee Secretariat, Room 04, 1st Block, Admin Block, LCRI, Maiduguri, Borno State on payment of #30,000.00 non-refundable tender fee for each Lot in Bank Draft payable to the Executive Director, Lake Chad Research Institute, Maiduguri.

E.      Submission of Tender Documents

The Pre-qualification documents and financial bid labeled separately as appropriate and the two envelopes put in another one envelop sealed and labeled at the right hand corner indicating project name, name of bidder clearly written at the reverse side, addressed to reach the undersigned on or before 12 Noon 20th May, 2013.

Request for Expression of Interest for Engagement of Agro Dealers and Input Suppliers for the 20,000 Ha Niger Rice Project under the Niger State Rice Investment consortium (NSRIC)

The   Niger   State   Rice   Investment   Consortium,   Project Implementation Office (NSRIC, PIO) hereby invites interested Agro Dealers and Input Suppliers for the 20,000Ha Niger Rice Project to express interest to supply Fertilizers/Seeds, and Agrochemical under the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Agricultural Regeneration Plan and Nigeria Incentive -Based Risk- Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL) Growth Enhance Support Programme (GES)

The overall aim of the projects is to maximize productivity through the use of quality input for the Niger rice project and to unlock the potentials of the state to create employment and wealth, and reduce the level of poverty in the state in particular and Nigeria in general.

The Expression of Interest (EOI) should be for:

Supply of Fertilizers, Seeds and Agro chemical for the first phase rainfed 20,000Ha cluster rice farm under the Niger state Rice Investment Consortium

Suppliers are expected to finance minimum operating stock requirement (12% of total storage)

Successful suppliers are expected to meet the minimum lending framework designed by NIRSAL

Mode of Application

The submissions should contain the following information:

1.       Corporate profile(s) and evidence of technical capability, including brief description of the firm’s or consortium’s verifiable experience on similar assignments, it’s or their familiarity and understanding of the state’s terrain, and list of its or their key resource persons.

2.       A resume or Curriculum Vitae of the Team Leader of the firm or consortium.

3.       Office address, telephone and e-mail of key contact person(s).

4.       Copy of the firm’s Certificate of Incorporation/Cooperative Certificate.
