The Kebbi State Government is fully committed to the improvement of service delivery towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by the target year 2015, hence the collaboration between Arewa, Kalgo, Ngaski and Sakaba LGAs, Kebbi State Government and Federal Government to execute special projects under 2012 CGS to LGAs in Health, Education and Water & Sanitation.

Nature of the Programmes Projects Involved

1.       Health

a.       Renovation and Construction of Basic Health Clinics and Dispensaries

b.       Procurement of assorted Hospital Equipment and furniture

c.       Procurement of essential drugs

2.       Water & Sanitation

a.       Construction of Hand pump boreholes in Health facilities and schools

b.       Construction of VIP Toilets in Health facilities and Schools

c.       Procurement of Instructional materials and Teaching aids

Pre-Qualification Requirements

1.       Evidence of incorporation or business name registration with CAC.

2.       Evidence of registration as Contractor with Kebbi State Millennium Development Office.

3.       Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the past three (3) years.

4.       Company Audited Account for the past three (3) years.

5.       Company Profile detailing years of experience and projects executed in the       areas of interest.

6.       Evidence of Financial Capability and Bank Support

7.       Proof of joint ventures/alliances/partnerships (if applicable).

8.       Valued Added Tax (VAT Certificate and evidence of past VAT remittances.

Tendering Requirements

Reputable firms are free to bid for a maximum of two Lots and are required to submit the following documents:

i.        Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

Submission of the Documents

The documents should be submitted in separate sealed envelopes appropriately marked Tender’ and the Lot clearly indicated, to the Chairman, School’s Tenders’ Board (STB) not later than 10.00am, on 5th July, 2013.

Title:           Recruitment of Subject Matters Experts for the current ECOWAS Commission Recruitment Process

 

Since the transformation of the Executive Secretariat of ECOWAS into a Commission in January, 2007, a reform process has been put into motion in existing ECOWAS Institutions. At the ECOWAS Commission, there have been efforts to implement the organisational structure approved by the ECOWAS Council of Ministers in May, 2007 with a view to filling the positions on the individual organisational structures of the various Directorates.

 

2.       ECOWAS, therefore, seeks to engage twenty-five (25) Subject Matter Experts (SME) with requisite expertise to serve as Interview Panel Members in the selection process for the various critical positions recently advertised.

 

3.       Purpose of the mission:

Objectives:

  • To ensure objectivity and transparency in the selection process, the Experts will assist the ECOWAS Selection Team in the interview process.
  • To minimize possible occurrences of biases, ensure greater efficiency and boost credibility of the selection process.

 

Scope of Service:

  • Assist in finalising the candidate shortlist for the relevant positions within SME area of expertise, as need be.

 

  • Play an active role in setting interview questions, assessing and scoring candidates’ performance to facilitate the final selection and provide inputs to the respective interview reports.

 

4.       The Consultants selected to conduct this mission shall, at least:

  • A higher degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in his/her area of specialisation.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years progressive work experience in his/her area of specialisation with a minimum often (10) years in managerial role.
  • Must be able to speak and write in one of the three (3) official languages of the ECOWAS Community-English, French or Portuguese.

Introduction:

The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies intends to execute the under listed project for the year 2012 Tetfund Special Intervention. In compliance with Due Process, the Institute hereby publicly invites competent and interested contractors with relevant experience and good financial standing to tender for the supply of 2 units of 30-seater Toyota Coaster Bus with fully functional air condition system and petrol engine.

Tender Requirements

All bids must be accompanied with the following documents as a basis for prequalification:

(a)     Certificate of incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association including form CO.7/CO.2 of the firm.

(b)     Three (3) years tax clearance certificate (2010-2012).

(c)      Name(s) and Address(s) of Bank(s) and reference letters from such banks.

(d)     VAT Registration Certificates (FIRS registration certificate and number),

(e)      Evidence of remittance for pension contributions of employees to PENCOM or PFA(s) (where applicable) and,

Submission of Tender Documents

Pre-qualification and Financial bids documents must be paginated, demarcated in sections, bound and submitted in 2 separate envelopes sealed and clearly marked at the top left hand corner “Technical Bid” for one and “Financial Bidder the other.

All the bid documents should reach the office of “The Director General” not later than 12 noon of Thursday, 11th July, 2013, at the same time of which they will be publicly opened.

The name of the company should be clearly written at the other side of the envelope.

Opening of Tenders:

Representatives of the bidding companies and members of the public, especially Civil Rights Organizations are invited to witness the opening of the tenders the same day by 12 noon prompt at the Institute’s Admin Board Room.
