This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Daily Trust Newspapers of 2nd April 2009 as published by Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Taraba State Health Systems Development Project II, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract roc furniture.

The Taraba State Health Systems Development Project II now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the under listed contract:

Calling for Submission of Tender for the Supply of Hospital Furniture

Introduction:

The Federal Medical Centre, Azare is desirous of carrying out the above mentioned

Capital project.

Requirements:

Interested Contractors are to apply on or before 15th November, 2010:

  1. Copy of Certificate of Incorporation/Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
  2. List of Directors of the Company.
  3. VAT Certificate.
  4. List of Projects executed and location.
  5. List of Technical Staff, their C.V’s and GSM Nos.
  6. List of Equipment owned by the Company.
  7. Tax Clearance for the last 3 years (2007, 2008 and 2009)
  8. Statement of Bank Account for last 6 months and Bankers Reference.
  9. Evidence of the existence of Pension Scheme for Company employees
  10. Company Profile.
  11. Audited Statement of Accounts for the last 3 years (2007, 2008, 2009)
  12. Any additional information that may enhance the bidder’s chance.

Method of Application

Interested companies should submit for the project two (2) proposals separately in two (2) sealed envelopes or package, clearly marked as “Technical Bid” and “Financial Bid” Note that the “Technical Bid” should contain the documents listed above in items No 1-12, while the “Financial Bid” is to contain the amount quoted for executing the project. Be informed that only Companies who satisfy the   requirements of “Technical Bid” would have their “Financial Bids” opened; those who are deficient would be automatically disqualified. Tender Documents for the above project are obtainable in the Centre upon the payment of non-refundable fee of N20, 000.00 cash or Bank Draft addressed to “Federal Medical Centre, Azare”.

Submission

All documents should be delivered to the Centre not later than 15th November, 2010. Note that opening of “Technical Bids” will take place on the same day by 12:00 Noon in the Board Room of the Centre; while the date for the opening of “Financial Bid” would be announced later. Adamawa Investment and Property Development Company Limited as part of its diversification programme is about to undertake the Amusement Park. The project’s benefit is to encourage tourism, generate employment and increase revenue in Adamawa State. The park is to provide entertainment attractions assembled for the purpose of leisure and amusement for a large group of people through various outdoor attractions assembled attractions assembled for the purpose of leisure and amusement for a large group of people though various outdoor attractions and activities. Recreation is an essential part of good living therefore the Company is committed to making sure that this facility is available to the people. Adamawa Investment and Property development Company Limited would like to engage the services of Investor(s), National and International in the hospitality sector to provide themed attractions meant to cater to children, teenagers and adults in providing the following services as a Concession under Build Operate and Transfer (BOT): to provide the park with the following facilities:-

The Services required include but are not limited:

  • Parking lots
  • Landscaping/Gardens
  • Provision of adequate security
  • Functional toilet facilities
  • Live Entertainment
  • Roller coasters
  • Outdoors rides
  • Indoor games
  • Picnic spots
  • Eating kiosks/Food Courts /Restaurants

The investors are expected to have expertise in financial, technical and managerial skills in the hospitality sector.

This concession is expected to last for a period of ten years

ADIPDCL requires investors to express interest as individual company. They should have a track record of at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in this sector. This includes previous work on similar projects in developing countries of no less than five (5) years.

SUBMISSION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOIs)

Expression of interests (EOIs) from prospective investor should specify the following information as basis for prequalification:

  • Evidence of registration with relevant authorities
  • Evidence of registration with relevant authorities
  • Profile of the Firm/Consortium (Local/Foreign) including ownership structure
  • Proof of Alliances/partnership (if applicable);
  • Capability Profile (Local/foreign);
  • Evidence of track record in a similar industry
  • Names and Curriculum Vitae of Firm’s top Executives who will be assigned to the service(s) being applied for, including qualification and individual in handling similar assignments elsewhere;

Failure to provide the requested information in full will render any application invalid and disqualified.

The investors would be selected in accordance with International Best practices

One original and four copies of the expressions of interest must be submitted in a sealed and clearly marked.
