Invitation for Pre-Qualification for Construction of  Water Use and  Control Structures in Gombe State.

1.       The Federal Government of  Nigeria has obtained a loan from the Islamic Development Bank(IDB) for co-financing the construction of Water Use and  Control Structures under the NPS in Gombe State and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of the funds for eligible payments under the contract(s) for construction of micro earth dams and irrigation modules (tubewells and washbores) for which this invitation for pre-qualification is issued.

2.       The National Programme for Food Security (NPFS) intends to empty qualified contractors for construction works in four lots at follows:

Lot 1 (i)      Micro Earth Dam in Nappe, Dukku L/Government, Gombe State

(ii)     Micro Earth Dam in Wawa, funakaye L/Government Gombe State

Lot 2 (iii)    Micro Earth Dam in Lafiya, Kaltungo L/Government   ,Gombe State

(iv)    Micro Earth Dam in Jessu, Balanga L/Government Gombe State

Lot 3 (v)     Micro Earth Dam in Bamala, Kwami L/Government, Gombe State

(vi)    Micro Earth Dam in Kashere, Akko L/Government, Gombe State

(vii)   Micro Earth Dam in Kujale, Y/Deba L/Government, Gombe State.

5.       The request must clearly state  “Request for  Prequalification Documents for  construction of Water  Use  and  Control Structures in Gombe State”. The documents are available for collection at no cost to the applicant. The  National Programme for Food Security will issue the documents directly to the applicant, but under no circumstances will it  be held responsible for any dissatisfaction arising thereof.

6.       The minimum requirements for  Contractor qualification are as follows:

i)       Having achieved an annual turnover in construction work of 300 million each for Lots 1-3 and N100 million for lot 4 in any of the  last five years.

ii)      Verification proof of experience as prime contractor in the  construction of at  least works of a nature and complexity equivalent to the works over the last 5 years (to comply with this requirement, works quoted should be at least 70% completed). Acceptable verifiable proof shall be copies of the letter of contract award and/or certificate of contract completion.

iii)     Verifiable proof of ownership/unhindered access to essential equipment required for the job.

iv.      A Project Contract Manager with 10 years experience  in works of equivalent nature and volume including not less than 5 years as Manager, and

v).     Verifiable proof of liquid assess and/or confirmed credit facilities of not less tha N500 million each for lots 1-3 and N15 million for lot 4.

vi)     VAT registration certificate

The USAID-funded Community-Based Support (CUBS) for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) project in Nigeria, invites consultancy firms/consultants to express interest to develop a simple and user friendly OVC database. 1. Introduction

Total Upstream Nigeria Limited (TUPNI) operator of the OML 130 is interested in the Provision of Diving Support Services (Equipment and personnel) for the Deep Offshore AKPO Field Development.

2. Brief description of work scope, Equipment and Personnel

The services will be provided to carry out periodic Inspection Repair and Maintenance services within the Diving range at the Deepwater field production facilities comprising the FPSO and the Oil Offloading Terminal (CALM buoy and ancillary equipment) The equipment will include but not be limited to the following:

  1. Containerized Twin Lock DDC (incl. equipment, gas consumables)
  2. Equipment/Workshop container
  3. HP air supply (compressor and gas racks)
  4. Dive ladder
  5. Scuba Replacement Package (2 x 100 m umbilicals)
  6. 5 Sets of Personnel Diving Equipment and PPE
  7. Set of spares and consumables for the above equipment
  8. Selection of hydraulic UW tools, hand tools, video equipment and NOT equipment

Minimum diving team will include 1 Diving Supervisor, 1 Medic and 5 qualified divers (as per certification, records obtained from diving Log book and medical fitness certification), additional personnel could be mobilised on request.

6. Additional Information

All costs incurred in preparing and processing NJQS pre-qualification shall be to the Contractor’s accounts.

4.0   Submission of Documents

  • These documents should be returned in sealed envelopes and marked “ETF PROJECT – LOT A, B, C, or D. on the top left hand corner and addressed to the Registrar, Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi. The document should be dropped in the tender ‘s box in the Registrar’s office not later than 12 noon, Thursday 27th January, 2011.

5.0     Opening of Prequalification Documents

  • All pre-qualification documents received shall be opened in the Polytechnic Boardroom on Thursday 27th January, 2011, at the expiration of the deadline for submission of pre-qualification documents. Interested contractors/suppliers and the general public are invited to witness the opening of pre-qualification in line with Due Process procedures.
