The Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu is desirous to undertake the renovation/refurbishing of its Students Hostel Blocks on Build-Operate and Transfer Basis (BOT).

 

 

In view of the above, the Institute is inviting competent and interested Contractors for pre-qualification.

 

Pre-Qualification Requirement:

To be considered technically competent, interested Companies and Contractors must submit a profile which should include:

  1. A certified true copy of certificate of incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
  2. A copy of the company’s audited accounts of the preceding three years.
  3. Evidence  of payment  of tax;  copy  of tax  clearance certificate for the preceding three years to be enclosed.
  4. For companies or firms with five or more employees evidence of compliance with the Pension Reform Act 2004.
  5. Evidence of financial capability and/or banking support to execute the contract without delay if awarded.
  6. Verifiable evidence of project successfully executed in Nigeria and evidence of knowledge of the relevant industry, this is to include letters of award, certificate of completion, list of project and addresses of sites or location.
  7. Copy of value Added Tax (VAT) registration certificate and FIRS PIN Number, evidence of previous VAT remittance to be included.
  8. Evidence of registration with the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu
  9. Evidence of annual returns from CAC.

Request for Expression of Interest [EoI] For Consultancy Service

 

The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Science and Technology Education Post Basic (STEP-B) Project. The project intends to apply a portion of the credit to eligible payment under the contract for engaging three individual consultants for the Microworks for job creation in Nigeria.

(a) Lead Specialist and Coordinator

(b) Technical Expert and

(c) National Consultant.

 

  1. The objective of the assignment is to launch Nigeria on the path of large scale exploitation of global and local microwork industry and reduce youth unemployment. Specific goals that will lead to attainment of objective are:

 

(a)  Survey of existing microwork platforms

(b) Microwork strategy and recommendations for Nigeria

(c) Workshop   for   Nigerian   aggregator   firms   and organizations

(d) Business Plan for Digitization of government data

(e) Curriculum   development   for   train-the-trainers   and youth, and credentialing model

(f)   Capacity building/proof of concept training at the University level

 

2.       The National Project Secretariat, of Science and Technology Education Post Basic (STEP-B) now invites consultants to indicate their interest in providing this service. Interested individuals must provide information indicating they are qualified to provide this service. The prospective consultants are to submit their CVs describing their experience in provision of similar assignment, relevant educational qualifications and capacity to carry out this assignment.

 

3.       Selection shall be in accordance with World Bank guidelines “Selection and Employment of consultants by World Bank Borrowers” (January, 2011 edition)

The Federal University of Technology, Owerri, hereby invites bids for pre-qualification and tender for the procurement of the following projects in the 2012 Capital Appropriation Budget.

 

  1. 1.     Procurement of Teaching and Research Equipment
  2. 2.     Furnishing of Directorate of General Studies Building

Tender Conditions and Procedure

i)       All interested tenders must be registered with the Federal University of Technology, Owerri as contractors in category D’ and are required to pay a non-refundable pre-qualification fee of N30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand Naira only) to the cash office, Bursary Department, Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

ii)    All tenders must:

a)     State clearly relevant personnel to execute the job with their curriculum vitae and photocopies of their certificates included

b)    State relevant equipment, for the execution of the job and include receipt of purchase or lease hold agreement.

c)     Provide evidence of jobs of similar character and scope executed as well as letters of contract award/completion certificates, etc.

d)    Include copies of current tax clearance certificates.

e)     Include evidence of financial capacity to successfully execute the job by way of Attestation from a reputable bank

f)      Be ready to appear before the University Management for an interview as part of the contract award procedure

g)     Be ready to show the University the company’s Head office and site for claimed completed jobs

h)    Furnish traceable contract address(es), phone number(s) and email(s)

iii)              The bills of quantities and other contract documents will be given only to the tenderes that pass, the technical pre-qualification exercise.

iv)              No tenderer will be allowed to tender for more than one of the approved jobs.

v)                All applications for pre-qualification must be returned in wax-sealed envelopes and marked on the left hand corner with the title “2012 Capital Appropriation Budget projects” and addressed to the Registrar/Secretary University tenders Board, federal University of Technology, Owerri.

Background

The Office of the Chief Economic Adviser to the President (OCEAP) is undertaking a comprehensive review   of the  Nigerian regulatory framework with a view  to assessing the extent to which existing regulatory framework are supportive of the Vision 20:2020 and Mr. President’s Transformation Agenda.  In this regard, the Office is seeking seasoned Economists Consultants to form a team that will work on each of the cluster listed below. Consulting Firms/Individuals will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Bureau of Public Procurement Standard Request for Proposals for the selection of Consultancy Firms

 

Objective

The general objective of the study is to assess the existing regulatory-framework and develop modalities for improving regulations that protect public interests without stifling investment, growth, and other socio-economic activities.

 

Scope of the study

To achieve the stated objective and make the study manageable, the regulatory agencies are arranged into clusters as follows:

The cluster reviews will ultimately lead to a synthesis report that provides an integrated assessment of the regulatory framework as a whole.

 

Terms of Reference (TOR)

The TOR includes:

a)     Provide a comprehensive dossier and assessment of all existing regulations in the assigned cluster. The assessment shall include a review of the relevant Acts or other information guiding the actions of regulators;

 

b)    Undertake a detailed assessment of the practical implementation of regulations by responsible regulatory agencies overseeing specific activities;

 

c)     Ascertain the extent to which specific regulations promote or stifle socio-economic activities, especially job creation and inclusive growth in Nigeria;

 

d)    Align regulation in Nigeria with international best practices on regulation in specific activities;

 

e)     Provide practical and implementable recommendations for improving the nation’s regulatory framework and efficiency and effectiveness of regulatory agencies.

 

Requirements and Submission

  1. A detailed proposal of not more than 10 pages (1.15 spacing, 12 font size) on the methodology, work plan and proposed budget for the assignment;
  2. Copy of Certificate of Incorporation with CAC and Forms C07 for EOIs from firms

c.  Evidence of Registration with PENCOM and remittances to PFAs for EOIs from firms

d.  Evidence of Company Audited Account for the last 3 years for EOIs from firms

e.  Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last 3 years for EOIs from firms.

f.   Curriculum Vitae of the lead consultant as well as those of the team members.

g.  Company profile including ownership structure with the copy of Article of Association, Memorandum of Understanding, and Firm’s registration with relevant Professional bodies.

h.  Core competencies for firms.

i.   Any other relevant information to support the application.

Eligibility Criteria
