Invitation for Pre-Qualification for Tertiary Education Trust Fund 2007/2008/2009/2010 Merged Library Normal Intervention Fund Projects.

Preamble:

The Federal Polytechnic, OKO wishes to invite for Pre-qualification of interested and reputable Contractors for the execution of these 12007/2008/2009/2010 merged Library normal Intervention Fund Projects.

The Works are as follows:

1. Lot 1 – Procurement of Books

2. Lot 2 – Procurement of Computer Equipments

3. Lot 3 – Procurement and Installation of Generating Sets

Pre-Qualification Requirement

a. Valid Certificate of Registration.

b. Current Tax Clearance Certificate

c. VAT Registration and evidence of past Remittances for three (3) years.

d. Evidence of remittance of Pension Fund for Staff of the Company from reputable Pension Fund Administrator,

e. Evidence of financial capacity and Banking Support,

f. Company Audited Account for three (3) years

g. Evidence of Technical Capacity

h. Annual Turn-Over.

i. Company profile and organizational structure.

Verification of claims in Pre-Qualification Documents.

Please note that the Federal Polytechnic, Oko will on its own verify the claims made in the pre-qualification Documents. Pre-qualification analysis will be based on Technical capacity of the Bid.

Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents:

Pre-qualification documents will be submitted with a non-refundable Fee of Ten Thousand Naira (10, 000.00) only in Bank draft made payable to Federal Polytechnic, Oko.

The Pre-qualification documents should be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to:

The project title being pre-qualified for should be boldly written at the left hand top corner of the sealed envelope.

The documents must be submitted not later than Tuesday 2^nd October 2012 at 12 noon and opening of the pre-qualification documents shall be done on Tuesday, 2^nd October, 2012 at 1 .00 p.m.

The commercial Tender documents Contractors on payment of a non refundable (N30, 000:00) only, made payable to Federal Polytechnic, OKO and the Commercial Tenders opening will be held on Tuesday, 30^th October, 2012 at 12 noon.

Names of successful pre-qualified Contractors should be notified by text messages (SMS) and published on the Federal Polytechnic, OKO Notice Board.

2. Pre-Qualification Requirements

To qualify for consideration, tenders must be accompanied with copies of the underlisted documents:-

(i) Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission

(ii) Evidence of Registration of Business Premises with Ekiti State Ministry of Commerce

(iii) Evidence of current registration with Ekiti State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.

(iv) Evidence of current registration with Ekiti State Ministry of Education Science & Technology

(v) Evidence of payment of Development Levy for the past three (3) years

(vi) Tax clearance Certificate of the Company for the last 3 years

(vii) Verifiable list and documentary evidence of similar jobs in the past 3 years to include copies of letters of award and certificate of completion

(viii) Annual Turnover

(ix) Evidence of Financial capability and banking support

(x) VAT Registration and Evidence of Payment

Supply and Installation of Laboratory and other Furniture and Fittings

1. This Notice is for joint prequalification and financial bidding for the above mentioned goods and services

2.a The Health Care Related Programs Trust Ltd /Gte is an independent Trust Fund established by Pfizer and the Kano State Government in accordance with the terms of an out of court settlement, to oversee the construction and equipping of a multi billion Naira health facility in Kano State, Nigeria.

2.b The goods to be procured are:

Lot 1: Laboratory Furniture

Lot 2: Hospital/Office Furniture

Lot 3: Hospital Vertical Blinds

3. The HRPTF now invites sealed prequalification documents and bids from interested and eligible bidders, who must be Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs’) or their Accredited Distributors who can take responsibility for the OEMS, with evidence of existing technical and operational capabilities in Nigeria, and of successful completion of similar projects in Nigeria in the last five years for the supply, installation, commissioning, maintenance of Laboratory and Other Furniture and Fittings in Kano.

Note: Bidders may bid for any or all the Lots.

4. Bidders will submit technical/administrative prequalification documents and financial bid in accordance with the bidding documents prepared by the HRPTF.

5. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased bidders on the submission of a written application to the HRPTF and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of N50, 000 (Fifty Thousand Naira). Payment may be in cash, banker’s draft, certified cheque or any other acceptable payment mode.

6. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after the-deadline of submission and must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 2% of the bid value. The Bid shall be addressed and delivered not later than 3^rd October, 2012 at 12.00 p.m. local time to:

Following recent advise from the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) on our advertisement placed in the Federal Tenders Journal, page 21, Monday, 3^rd September, 2012 as well as that of the Daily Trust newspaper, page 7 and Daily Sun newspaper, page 55 both of Tuesday, September 4^th 2012 on invitation for pre-qualification and financial bids for the execution of 2012 appropriated capital projects.

Members of the public are hereby informed of the followings:

A. Interested companies are to collect tender documents between Monday 3^rd September, 2012 and Monday, 24^th September, 2012 upon presentation of evidence of payment (bank teller) of N10,000.00 each for construction projects( lots 1, 4, 7, 9, &10) and N5,000.00 each for supplies/others( lots 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 11, 12 & 13) non-refundable processing fees.

B. That criterion of registration with the Federal ministry of works and Nigeria Arabic Language Village, Ngala has been expunged from the said advertisement and bidders will not be assessed based on this requirement

C. Closing date of the submission of completed document is now 26^th September, 2012 by 10.00 am while the opening of pre- qualification and financial bid documents will be on 26^th September, 2012 by 10:00 am prompt

D. Lot 12 purchase of vehicle & generators l (3No TOYOTA HILUX) has been expunged from the said advertisement and replaced with Lot12 purchase of vehicle & generators 1(3No double cabin pickup- four wheel drive).

E. All other information on the invitation for pre-qualification and financial bid for the execution of year 2012 projects on the earlier publication remains valid. Any inconveniences caused by this change are regretted
