Further to our “Invitation to Bid” for the various jobs advertised as Lots A – G in the Leadership and Guardian Newspapers of Wednesday, September 12, 2012 with additional publication in the Leadership and Guardian Newspapers of September 14, 2012 and the Federal Tenders Journal, Vol. 8 No. 19 – Monday September 17 – Sunday September 30, 2012 wherein we published that the closing date was 23rd October and 26th October, 2012 respectively.

 

2.       The Ministry wishes to inform all interested bidders that the new closing date for the submission of tenders is now 12:00 pm, 1st November, 2012 while opening of submitted bids will be held at 1:00 pm, 1st November, 2012 at the Conference Room of the Ministry, 3rd Floor, Federal Secretariat, Phase I, Annex III, Abuja.

Lot 1 –        Drilling of Solar Powered Borehole, including Construction of 21. 6m Elevated Storage Tank on 9 Om Steel Tower at Angwan Madaki Ushafa; Piwoyi and Tudun Fulani all in Bwari Area Council

 

Lot 2 –        Rehabilitation of 1.7km NYSC – Byazhin Junction Road, Kubwa

 

Lot 3 –        Construction of Asphalt Overlay and Trapezoidal Concrete Drainage along Madaki Street Road, Ushafa (45km Distance)

 

Tender/Bid Requirements:

  1. Evidence of Registration with the CAC
  2. Evidence of Registration with BAC
  3. Up-to-date Tax Clearance for the last 3 years (i.e. 2009, 2010, 2011)
  4. VAT Registration and Remittances
  5. Verifiable evidence of similar jobs executed
  6. Audited Accounts for the last 3 years (i.e. 2009, 2010, 2011)
  7. Evidence of Compliance with Pension Reform Act 2004 and Remittances to PFAs
  8. Evidence of technical capacity for construction works
  9. Evidence of payment of Tender Fee of N15,000.00 only

Note that:

  1. All payments must be by bank draft payable to Bwari Area Council, FCT. Prequalification documents are to be enveloped separately and marked as such.
  2. Tender documents are to be collected from the Office of the Head of Works Department, Bwari Area Council, Council Secretariat, Bwari, Abuja – FCT;
  3. Technical and Financial Bids are to be submitted in two separate envelopes clearly marked “Technical” or “Financial” with Lot Number specified and put in an envelope addressed to Head of Works Department, Bwari Area Council, Abuja, FCT not later than 27th November, 2012.
  4. Tender shall be opened publicly in the Council Conference Hall by 12.00pm of the closing date.
  5. Late submission of tender documents will not be entertained and that the Council is not bound to accept the lowest tender.

Consultancy Services on World Bank Client Survey For Nigeria

 

Introduction:

The World Bank (the Bank) plans to undertake a Client Survey in Nigeria to enable the Bank obtain systematic feedback from its stakeholders with the objective of enhancing its responsiveness and improving its capacity to deliver results. The Survey will entail measuring stakeholders reactions to the products and services being delivered by quantitatively gauging attitudes.

 

Expression of Interest:

Request for EOIs are hereby sought from interested consulting firms for pre-selection to conduct a national survey, primarily focused on a range of stakeholders and development partners including:

 

  • Federal government ministries and implementing agencies:
  • State Ministries, Departments and Local Governments;
  • Multilateral and bilateral agencies;
  • International development organizations;
  • Academic and research institutes;
  • Business and private sector organizations
  • CSOs/NGOs;
  • Media.

 

Eligibility Criteria/Requirement for the Expression of Interest:

The requirements for the Expression of Interest (EOI) for the prospective consulting firms are as follows:

  • Evidence of Registration as legal entity in the country of location
  • Detailed profile of the firm, including Curriculum Vitae of professional staff members to conduct the survey: academic and professional certificates; experience and attestation of availability
  • Details and proof of at least two similar and verifiable surveys successfully completed by the firm in the last 10 years (please attach copies of transaction documents, including completion certificate)
  • Evidence of firm’s audited accounts for the last 5 years (consecutive years)
  • Proof of continuous professional activity for the last 5 years as an indication of professional reliability

 

Method of Application:

All interested firms are invited to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Expression of interest to conduct the Nigeria Country Survey for 2012” and send to the address:

2.0     Evaluation Requirements:

  1. Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and

Federal Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development for Civil Works

  1. Evidence of Tax clearance for the last three (3) years
  2. Evidence of VAT Registration and Remittance
  3. Evidence of compliance with Pension Reform Act 2004 with rewards to operation of the employees Retirement Savings Accounts (certificate of Compliance) with an approved Pension Fund Administrator (PFA)
  4. Company profile with Evidence of Personnel capability including list of Key Professionals, C.V of each professional and Registration with relevant bodies
  5. Evidence of experience in jobs of similar nature within the past Three (3) years with verifiable letters of contract(s) award or certificate(s) of job completion/details of on-going Projects.
  6. Evidence of financial capability to handle the job by way of turnover figures backed by three years Audited Report Bank statement and Bank reference letter.
  7. For the production of Fixed Assets register, interested bidders must be a Chartered Accounting Firm with experience in the production of Fixed Assets register.

 

Interested Contractors are to obtain Tender/Bid Documents from Planning Unit of Administration Department of the Hospital upon presentation of receipt of payment of non-refundable Tender processing fee as detailed below:
