2.       Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure specified in the 2007 Public Procurement Act.

3.        BIDDIG REQUIREMENTS:

A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased and obtained for any of the lots on the payment of non- refundable fee of ten thousand Naira (N10.000.00) only by Bank draft made payable to the ‘Federal Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

4.      BIDDING DOCUMENTS CAN BE OBTAWED FROM:

5.       The bidding documents which should be addressed and submitted to the above office upon completion, should be enclosed in sealed envelopes and marked with the category, contract name and lot number on the right hand side of the envelope. Bidders should also endeavor to indicate their company’s name, address and telephone numbers at the back of the envelope.

6.       All bids must be delivered in the Tender Box in the above address on or before 8th June 2010; as late submissions shall not be accepted. Bids will be immediately opened In the presence of bidders / representatives at the Conference Room of the Ministry on the 2nd Floor Block G at12noon on 10th June 2010 .

7.       REQUIREMENTS:-

All bids must be accompanied with the following documents as a pre requisite for consideration:

  • Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
  • Company’s Audited Accounts for 2007,2008 & 2009;
  • Evidence of VAT registration and Remittances
  • Tax Clearance Certificate for 2007,2008 & 2009;
  • Evidence of Financial Capability and Banking Support
  • Verifiable evidence of similar jobs executed in the past and knowledge of the industry/project
  • Evidence of payment of the Tender of ten thousand Naira (N10, 000.00) only
  • Technical qualification and experience of key personnel: and
  • Evidence of Pension Fund Registration/Remittances

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Nigeria would like to   invite registered Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) for Pre-qualification and possible inclusion in a database of NGOs specialized in the following areas:

Elections

Media

Conflict Management

Political Parties

Gender

Human Rights, Rule of Law and Access to Justice

Youth

Other Democratic Governance areas not specifically mentioned above

The United Nations Development Programme in Nigeria, through the Democratic Governance for Development (DGD) project is looking to complete a comprehensive roster of NGOs working in the area of democratic governance in Nigeria.

Interested NGOs must meet the eligibility requirements for consideration which can be downloaded at the following UNDP websites: www.ng.undp.org , www.undp.org . The application template can also be downloaded from the websites.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

The EOI and supporting documents must be received on or before 30th May 2010 by 3:00 PM (local time) and must be forwarded to the address below in a sealed envelope clearly labeled “EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR PRE QUALIFICATION OF NGOs in NIGERIA” PLEASE INCLUDE THE NAME OF THE NGO AND THE GEO-POLITICAL ZONE OF INTEREST.

This EOI does not amount to a commitment on the part of UNDP, either financial or otherwise, UNDP reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EOI without any obligation to inform the affected applicants of the grounds for acceptance or rejection.

Invitation for pre-qualification to tender for the phase III Renovation and Refurbishment of the merit house complex

  1. 1. Introduction

The Nigerian National Merit Award (NNMA) was established by Act No. 53  of 1979 as amended by Act No. 96 of 1992 with a primary mandate of promoting and rewarding intellectual and academic excellence through the conferment of the Nigerian National Order of Merit (NNOM) Award, on  Nigerians who have contributed outstandingly to national development in the areas of Science, Medicine, Engineering/Technology, Humanities including Arts and culture other filed of human endeavours.

  1. The NNMA hereby invites experienced and competent contractors to tender for the pre-qualification of the phase III renovation/refurbishment of the Merit House Complex.

Pre-Qualification Requirement

  1. i.            Valid Certificate of Registration/incorporation of the Company
  2. ii.            Current Tax Clearance Certificate of the Company for the last (3) years, valid up to December 31st 2009;
  3. iii.            Evidence of financial capability to execute the project;
  4. iv.            VAT Registration certificate;
  5. v.            Company’s Profile including details of key Staff strength to be deployed for Execution of the Contract Evidence of technical and professional expertise;
  6. vi.            Detail of equipment and plants, including machines owned or to be hired;
  7. Name and address of Banker(s), including letter of Reference/guarantee from the Bank;
  8. Evidence of’ involvement and Experience in similar Contract sums and showing Evidence of Award and Timely Completion;
  9. ix.            Evidence of compliance with the provision of Pension Reform Act, 2004;
  10. x.            Payment of non-refundable tender fee of N50, 000.00 in certified bank draft in favour of The Nigerian National Merit Award.
