This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue 673 of 28th February, 2006.

    The Lagos Water Corporation has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Second National Urban Water Sector Reform Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for Contingent Rehabilitation of Distribution Network in two Additional Service Areas of Lagos Water Corporation (Contract No: LSWC/2NUWSRP/NCB/WKS.057).

      The Lagos Water Corporation now invites sealed bids from qualified bidders for the “Contingent Rehabilitation of Distribution Network in two Additional Service Areas of Lagos Water Corporation” involving the following scope of works:

        i.            Distribution Network – Replacements, Strengthening and Extension in DI/uPVC in Surulere and Shomolu Service Areas and;

          ii.            Distribution Network – Repairs on AC & uPVC Pipes and Service Connections in Surulere and Shomolu Service Areas ;

            Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines, “May 200”,

              Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Lagos Water Corporation and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 9:00am 4-00pm Monday – Friday.

                6. Qualifications requirements include:

                  The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate that it meets the following requirements):

                  A. Financial Capability

                  • Average Annual Financial Amount of Construction work in the last 5 (five) years greater than two times contract award value.
                  • Evidence of Line of Credit of Positive Liquidity of not less than N200million to execute this contract.

                  B. Experience and Technical Capacity

                  • Have experience in similar works with references of Clients served, value and when.
                  • Have technically qualified and experienced Key Personnel
                  • A complete set of Bidding Documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of N75, 000:00. The method of payment will be by Bank Draft the Bidding Documents will be picked up by the Bidder at the address shown below.

                  Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 1:00 pm on Monday 20th September, 2010. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend in person at the address below at l: 00pm on or before Monday 20th September, 2010.

                          The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Malaria Control Booster Project and intends to apply part of the Credit to cover eligible payment for consulting services to support the training of PMVs in the state.

                          1. The Health Institution would with the collaboration of the PMV .   Consultant and PMV Association   plan and implement the Conduct of trainings in batches, of the PMVs on the HMM and delivery of key malarial control commodities.
                          2. It can engage other special cadre of health workers e.g. Doctors, Pharmacists etc. in the teaching of some modules that would need the input of such group of health workers.
                          3. The Institution would prepare a report at the end of each training and submit to the PMV Consultant.

                          The Gombe State Malaria Control Booster Project now invites eligible Institutions to indicate their interest in providing services in Training. The consulting services are to extend over a period of One Year

                          The Institution for this assignment should have the following expertise: Must have been involved in the training of middle and lower level health workers eg School of Health Technology or Hygiene, must have graduated at least 5 sets of students from inception, must have at least 2 academic staff members, with at least a diploma each in either community medicine, health science, pharmacology or sociology, Presence of degree holders or HND in the mentioned fields above would be an added advantage.

                          Previous experience in community mobilization and training would also be another added advantage.

                          Interested Institutions must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignment, experience in similar condition, availability of requisite skills, etc).

                          Institution will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank Guidelines: Selections and employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition).

                          The objective is to identify the registered and non-registered PMVs, train them according to National training guidelines, request for the supply of subsidized drugs on timely basis to reduce out of stock Syndrome and to Peer-supervise internal monitoring of PMVs.

                          The Gombe State Malaria Control Booster Project now invites eligible Associations to indicate their interest in providing services for training logistics and internal monitoring of PMV intervention. The consulting services are to extend over a period of 12 months initially and are renewable as needed.

                          Required Qualifications, evidence of registration of Members with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN), must have a functional office at Gombe the State capital, for proper coordination of activities, good knowledge of local language and culture must have more than half of the members literate.

                          Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors and Tendering For the Construction of Building for Dental Clinic

                          A. Introduction

                          The University of Ilorin wishes to execute the construction of Building for a Dental Clinic.

                          B. Pre-Qualification Requirements

                          Interested contractors are required to submit pre-qualification documents with verifiable evidence including, but not limited to, the following.

                          1. Evidence of incorporation of Company by Corporate Affairs Commission;
                          2. Evidence of current registration with the Federal Ministry of Works, Housing and Urban Development (where necessary);
                          3. Evidence of tax clearance certificate for the last three years;
                          4. Company’s Audited Account for the last three years;
                          5. List of similar jobs executed with evidence of names of clients, location of projects, letter of contract award, certificate of practical completion and cost of projects (Note that any contractor without evidence of having successfully executed a single project of the magnitude (in cost) of what he is seeking to be pre-qualified for, shall not be shortlisted);
                          6. Evidence of compliance with the provisions of the Pension Reform Act 2004;
                          7. Evidence of Company’s VAT Registration;
                          8. Letter of reference from contractors” bankers; and
                          9. Letter of consent from professionals to be engaged on the projects.

                          1. C. Processing Fees

                          Interested contractors are required to pay a non-refundable

                          N30, 000.00 (Thirty Thousand Naira) only, for the project bided for (Bank Draft), to the University of Ilorin, Ilorin. The draft or evidence of payment at the Bursary Department of the University must accompany the pre-qualification submission.

                          D. SUBMISSION

                          All submissions in sealed envelopes should be delivered to the address below not later than 12 noon, on the 23rd of August 2010. The envelopes should be clearly marked at the top-right-hand corner with “Dental Clinic”. Pre-qualification submissions will be opened at the Committee Room of Auditorium Basement, University of Ilorin. at 2.00 pm on the 23rd of August 2010.

                          9. ix.            A comprehensive company profile to include verifiable key professional staff and evidence of execution of similar jobs. (Provide letter of award of Contract and Completion Certificate for each of the projects.)
                          10. x.            Documents are to be arranged and submitted as itemized in i-ix above.

                          3.0     Verification of Claims

                          Interested Contractors must note that the University of Ado-Ekiti reserves the right to verify claims made in the pre-qualification. documents submitted, by them.

                          4.0      Pre-Quauficat10n and Tender Fees

                          Contractors are to pay a non -refundable processing fee of N50,000.00 for the project The fee should be paid in bank draft and addressed to the University of Ado-Ekiti.

                          5.0     Submission of Documents

                          1. i.            The pre-qualification applications with all the required supporting documents should be neatly packaged, bounded and forwarded in sealed envelopes and marked at the top left corner “The University of Ado-Ekiti Project: Pre-qualification for the Supply and Installation of 33KV1250 Amps Switch Gear Panel”
                          2. ii.            The complete Tender documents collected from Physical planning Department, University of Ado-Ekiti must be sealed in an envelope marked “Tender document for the Supply and Installation of 33KV V250 Amps Switch Gear Panel”

                          The companies submitting the Pre-qualification and Tender document should write the name; mobile phone number and e-mail address of a contact person at the bottom left corner of the TWO envelopes. This will allow for prompt communication.

                          The Pre-qualification and Tender documents must reach the University not later than 10.00a.m. On the 21st of September, 2010

                          The Pre-qualification und Tender papers will be opened on the 21st of September, 2010 at 11.00am the Senate Chamber of the University. All those who would have submitted their documents by the deadline are invited to the meeting for the opening of the Pre-qualification and Tender documents.
