  1. Introduction:

As part of its sustained commitment towards the provision of cheap and affordable housing for Nigerians, Saraha Homes Limited, a major private mass housing developer in Abuja-Nigeria, invites competent and interested contractors with a thrust in mass housing construction and development to submit Technical and Financial Bid for pre-qualification /tender as fast step in the award of contracts for building construction in our Estates.

  1. Scope & Detail of project:

Details and scope of the project shall be made available to interested and competent contractors on fulfilling section 6 below:

  1. Categories of Contract:

Please note that the value of the said contracts to be awarded is broken into three (3) categories in the order below:

Cat. A: Between 1 million to 10 million Naira.

Cat. B: Between 11 million to 30 million Naira.

Cat. C: Above 30 million Naira.

Prospective bidders are advised to bid within the limit of their resources to ensure Efficiency, Professionalism and Timely Delivery.

  1. Eligibility / Pre-Qualification Requirements:

Interested companies are to forward copies of the following documents and originals to be made available for sighting during the bid opening.

  • Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), and Articles and Memorandum of Association.
  • Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years ending December 2010, and VAT Certificate.
  • Companies Audited Account for the last three (3) years prepared by a Chartered Accounting Firm.
  • Bank Statement of the company for the last twelve (12) months and Reference letter from a reputable Nigerian Bank (Original).
  • Detailed Company Profile showing the last of key personnel/officers to be attached to the project, stating their roles, designation, qualification and experience.  Veritable documentary evidence of similar jobs successfully executed in the past including Letters. Completion Certificates and Evidence of payments received
  • interested companies should have  up to date returns with CAC, and  be informed that due diligence could be  conducted
  • Articulate Work Plan and Methodology
  • Last of  equipment/registered Office Address including valid telephone numbers
  • Evidence of  registration with Saraha Homes Limited as Contractor.

5.  Submission of Pre-Qualification/Tender Documents

The Technical and Financial documents should be sealed and labeled (Technical and Financial Bids as appropriate separately, and the two envelopes be put in another envelope that should also be sealed and labeled as appropriate indicating the name of the projects. The Tender Documents  (Financial Bid) should be submitted in three (3) copies (one original and two other copies) and all are to be endorsed by the bidder.

6.  Please Note

That full tendering procedures will be applied only to bidders that have been pre-qualified and found capable of executing the project upon the payment in Bank Draft of 250,000 (Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira only) to Saraha Homes Limited.

1.     This Specific Procurement Notice follows the General Procurement Notice earlier published.

2.     The Government of Nigeria has received a loan from the African Development Fund towards the cost of Nigeria: Multinational Nerica Rice   Dissemination Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover the eligible payments under the Contract for Rehabilitation of feeder Roads in Ekiti State.

3.     The Nigeria: Multinational Nerica Rice Dissemination Project under the National Programme for Agricultural and Food Security of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources now invites sealed bids from prospective bidders for one or of the following two lots for the rehabilitation of feeder (earth) roads (51 Km) spreading across six local government areas of Ekiti State. Bidders bidding for the three lots must satisfy qualification requirement for the whole lots as stated in the bidding document. The works will essentially comprise of the necessary earthworks to establish the required road cross section, and improve, replace, or provide additional drainage facilities. The expected project completion period is 6 months.

4.     Complete sets of bidding documents may be purchased from the Multinational NERICA Rice Dissemination project office of National Programme for Agricultural and Food Security Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources KM 31, Abuja-Lokoja Highway, Sheda, Abuja-Nigeria, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of NGN 20, 000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira) for one lot and NGN 30, 000.00 for the two (2) lots. Payment shall be in cash to the National Project Coordinator; Multinational NERICA Rice Dissemination Project Office. Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the same address.

5.     The instructions to the bidders and general conditions of contract contained in the bidding documents comply with the Bank’s Standard Bidding Documents for the Procurement of Works.

6.     Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 Days after Bid Opening and must be accompanied by the bids security as indicate in the above, or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency, bidders should present separate bid security for each lot and be delivered to the office of; The Project Coordinator, Multinational Rice Dissemination Project, National Programme Agricultural and Food Security, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, KM 31, Abuja-Lokoja Highway, Sheda, Abuja-Nigeria on or before 12:00 noon Nigeria time on 13th January, 2011.

Invitation to Tender for the Supply of Office Furniture for Head Office Abuja and Lagos Office

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) wishes to invite reputable Companies with good track record of performance and experience to bid for the supply of furniture for our Head office Abuja and Lagos office.

Scope of Work:

1.     Supply of furniture items for our Head office Abuja and Lagos office.

Detailed description of the items and Tender requirements shall be specified in the Tender Document.

Tender Documents:

Interested Companies should obtain the tender documents from the Administration Unit, NDIC Head Office (2nd Floor), Plot 447/448 Constitution Avenue, Central Business District, Abuja on payment of a non refundable fee of N10, 000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) in Bank Draft and made payable to Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, Abuja.

Conditions for Eligibility:

All bids must be accompanied with the following:

  • Evidence of Company Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
  • The current 3 year Tax Clearance Certificate of the Company (20 -2009).
  • Last three months (May – July) financial (Bank & account, statement of the company.
  • The Company’s audited accounts for the past three years (2007 -2009).
  • Evidence of financial capacity or bank support.
  • Evidence of having successfully carried out similar works \ the past three years.
  • Company Profile Showing evidence of availability of requisite and appropriate staff/skill for the job.
  • Evidence of VAT registration and remittance to relevant authority.
  • Evidence of pension fund remittance to appropriate PFC/PFA.
  • Sworn Affidavit that the company is not in receivership and that none of the company directors was ever convicted of any fraudulent activity.

Submission of Tender Documents

Five (5) copies of the tender documents must be submitted on or before 29th December, 2010, by 4:00 pm in separate sealed envelopes clearly marked “Technical Bid” and “Financial Bid” respectively, both put in a third envelope sealed and marked on the right hand top corner “Tender for the Supply of Office Furniture” and address to:

Opening of the Tenders

Public opening of tenders shall be on the next working day after the closure of submission. Representatives of the responding companies are invited to witness the opening of the bids in our Office on the day mentioned above. The name of the successful Company shall be posted on the NDIC Notice Board at the Office and the Head Office and the corporation’s Website. Only the successful company will be contacted.

Additional Information:

i.            Failure to satisfactorily fulfill the conditions as requested above will result to invalidation of such tender.

ii.            NDIC shall reserve the right to verify the authenticity of claim(s) made by the tendering parties.

iii.            NDIC shall reserve the right to reject any submission based on unverifiable information.

iv.            All commercial bids should be quoted in Naira.

v.            This advert also serves as invitation to any interested NGO and members of the general Public who may wish to witness the opening exercise.
