Invitation for Pre-Qualification

Construction of Automotive Testing Laboratories and Administration Block

 

Applications are invited from competent, reputable and interested contractors with relevant experience and good track records for pre-qualification to tender for construction of automotive testing laboratories and administration block in Lagos, Enugu and Zaria respectively.

Invitation

The Council hereby request contractors to indicate their interest in participating in a pre-qualification exercise, following which, only qualified contractors will be chosen white contractors will be invited to competitively tender for the  works

Pre-Qualification Documents

Prospective contractors are requested to forward the following documents along   with their application as minimum requirement:

i.        Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission

ii.       Tax Clearance Certificate for 3 years: 2008 -2010

iii.      Evidence(s) of compliance with the provisions of the Pension Reform Act 2004

iv.      Company’s Audited Account for 3 years: 2006-2010.

v.       Verifiable proof of ownership/unhindered access to essential equipment required for the job.

vi.      Verifiable proof of experience as prime contractor in the construction industry of at least three (3) works of a nature and complexity equivalent to the works mentioned above.

vii.     VAT registration certificate

Scope of Work

The scope of works involve but not restricted to the following:-

i.        Site clearance i.e. cutting of trees, verrandah, roots etc.

ii.       Excavation of trench and back filling.

iii.      Networking using 4 x 16mm2 amored cable

iv.      Networking using 35mm amored cable for secondary connections,

v.       Networking using 2.5mm twin cable.

vi.      Civil works (concretecolumn base and generator houses)

vii      Provision and installation of 10m height G1 poles.

viii.    Provision and installation of 250w Philips fitting on G1poles.

ix.      Provision of l00KVA supplementary power supply.

i.        Connection to PHCN

 

Interested companies are to obtain the tender documents from the office of the Secretary Ministerial Tenders Board, Ministry of Works and Transport, after payment of non-refundable fees of one hundred thousand naira (#100,000,00) only per project in cash or certified Bank draft in favour of the Ministry of Works and transport Dutse Jigawa State.

 

Tenders are to be submitted on or before 16th May 2011. The opening of the bids shall be performed on Friday 13 May, 2011 at the Conference Hall of the New Secretariat Complex, Dutse Jigawa State by 12.00noon.

The Federal government of Nigeria has received credit from the World Bank for the Economic Reform and Governance Project (ERGP) and intends to apply part of this loan for the engagement of Consultants to carry out Procurement Audits of MDAs on behalf of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP).

 

The BPP/ERGP now invites eligible consultancy firms to indicate their interests in providing the services, Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the

 

services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in related situations, availability of appropriate staff skill, etc.). Consultancy firms may collaborate to enhance their qualifications.

Expression of Interest (EOI) for Provision of Architecture Consultancy Services for the Proposed International Conference Centre Abuja under Its 2011 Capital Projects.

 

 

The Central Bank of Nigeria proposes to undertake, under its 2011 Capital projects, the development of an international Conference Centre at Central Business District, Abuja (Former NITEL Building) Ref: CBN/CDP/2011/010.

 

The Project involves the conversion of the old NITEL building to an International conference centre with multi-purpose halls (Conference Halls, Auditoria, Communication Centers and Syndicate rooms), Business Centers, Hotel (Five Star), Shopping Complex, Restaurant, Banks and a Sport Centre.

 

 

The Bank had decided to undertake an Architectural Design Competition in order to select the best design concept for implementation on the above named project.

Interested Firms should send in their Expression of interest (EOI) for pre-qualification to participate in the competition.

 

 

This competition is open to professionally recognized Architectural firms within and outside Nigeria. However, international firms must present evidence of collaboration with a suitable and registered Nigerian Architectural Firm.

 

 

Requirements

Interested firms are to submit, along with the EOI the following requirements which shall be used as criteria for preliminary selection.

 

MANDATORY (without which the firm will be disqualified)

i.            Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission,
ii.            Certified true copy of Memorandum and Article of Association,
iii.            Evidence of employees’ Retirement Savings Account   (RSA)   with   Pension   Fund  Administrators
iv.            Evidence   of   remitting   employer   and employees’   pension   contribution   to appropriate pension fund custodian,
v.            Evidence of Transferring all Pension Funds and Assets prior to the commencement of the Pension  Reform Act to  Licensed  Pension Operators,
vi.            Evidence   of  registration   with  Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARGON),
Evidence of payment of tax for the last three (3) years as at when due. Such evidence should reflect the value of the projects undertaken by the firm in the last three (3) years,
Architectural Firms from outside Nigeria must provide evidence of registration with  their Others
ix.            Evidence of participation in similar projects in magnitude and complexity (of value not less than N5Billion) which are either awarded or completed.
x.            Corporate profile of the firm including CV of key personnel Supported by Professional licenses, registered address, functional contact email address, GSM phone number(s).
xi.            Audited accounts in the last three (3) years duly stamped by licensed Auditors,
Verifiable   reference   of   related   services rendered in the last three (3) years (attach letters of engagement).
References of satisfactory performance on similar projects from three (3) previous clients.

1.   This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. 591 of 2nd July, 2007.

 

2.   The Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Science and Technology Education Post Basic Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for the Supply and Installation of Analytical Equipments and Equipments for the establishment of Organic Based Fertilizer Plant.

4.   Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB), a procedure specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines Procurement  under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines

 

5.   Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT), Zaria at the address below  and inspect the Bidding Documents  from 9:00am to 4:00pm Mondays to Fridays, except on public holidays.

 

6.  Qualifications Requirements Include

  • Documentary Evidence of two contracts of similar nature and magnitude during the last five (5) years
  • Audited Financial Statements for the last 3 years to demonstrate the financial capability of the Bidder in terms of Profitability and adequate working capital.
  • A Manufacturer’s Authorization for equipment not produced by the company.

A margin of preference for eligible national contractors shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

 

7,  A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of N15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) only or USD100.00.  The method of payment will be cash or bank draft in favor of National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT), Zaria, The Bidding Documents will be collected by the representative of the Bidder or by courier services paid by the bidder on request
