Expression of Interest (EOI) for Provision of Architecture Consultancy Services for the Proposed International Conference Centre Abuja under Its 2011 Capital Projects.

 

 

The Central Bank of Nigeria proposes to undertake, under its 2011 Capital projects, the development of an international Conference Centre at Central Business District, Abuja (Former NITEL Building) Ref: CBN/CDP/2011/010.

 

The Project involves the conversion of the old NITEL building to an International conference centre with multi-purpose halls (Conference Halls, Auditoria, Communication Centers and Syndicate rooms), Business Centers, Hotel (Five Star), Shopping Complex, Restaurant, Banks and a Sport Centre.

 

 

The Bank had decided to undertake an Architectural Design Competition in order to select the best design concept for implementation on the above named project.

Interested Firms should send in their Expression of interest (EOI) for pre-qualification to participate in the competition.

 

 

This competition is open to professionally recognized Architectural firms within and outside Nigeria. However, international firms must present evidence of collaboration with a suitable and registered Nigerian Architectural Firm.

 

 

Requirements

Interested firms are to submit, along with the EOI the following requirements which shall be used as criteria for preliminary selection.

 

MANDATORY (without which the firm will be disqualified)

i.            Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission,
ii.            Certified true copy of Memorandum and Article of Association,
iii.            Evidence of employees’ Retirement Savings Account   (RSA)   with   Pension   Fund  Administrators
iv.            Evidence   of   remitting   employer   and employees’   pension   contribution   to appropriate pension fund custodian,
v.            Evidence of Transferring all Pension Funds and Assets prior to the commencement of the Pension  Reform Act to  Licensed  Pension Operators,
vi.            Evidence   of  registration   with  Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARGON),
Evidence of payment of tax for the last three (3) years as at when due. Such evidence should reflect the value of the projects undertaken by the firm in the last three (3) years,
Architectural Firms from outside Nigeria must provide evidence of registration with  their Others
ix.            Evidence of participation in similar projects in magnitude and complexity (of value not less than N5Billion) which are either awarded or completed.
x.            Corporate profile of the firm including CV of key personnel Supported by Professional licenses, registered address, functional contact email address, GSM phone number(s).
xi.            Audited accounts in the last three (3) years duly stamped by licensed Auditors,
Verifiable   reference   of   related   services rendered in the last three (3) years (attach letters of engagement).
References of satisfactory performance on similar projects from three (3) previous clients.

Submission

  • Applications for EOI accompanied by the relevant documents should be forwarded in sealed envelop marked at the top left corner and boldly written:

“EOI for Architectural Consultancy Services in respect of the Proposed International Conference Centre at Central Business District, Abuja (Former NITEL Building) (Ref CBN/CDP/2011/010)”

 

and addressed to

The Secretary,

Major Contracts Tenders Committee

2nd Floor, Wing C, CBN Head Office Complex,

Central Business District,

Abuja, FCT Nigeria.

Closing Date

All submissions must be received at the above Office not later than 23rd May, 2011.

Important Notice

Only pre-qualified firms will be invited to participate in the competition.
