Invitation for Expression of Interest for the Management of Selected MDGs Facilities in the State

 

Anambra State Government, in collaboration with Local Government Councils, has been implementing development projects/programmes under the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Conditional Grant Scheme since 2007. The intervention has been mainly in the areas of Primary Health, Water and Sanitation, as well as Youth Empowerment.

 

To ensure sustainability of these projects, the State Government through the MDGs Implementation Committee hereby invites competent individuals/organizations to apply for the management of some of the projects/facilities in partnership with the Government and the communities where they are located, to give Ndi-Anambra the full benefits of these dividends of democracy.

 

The facilities are open for inspection at the following locations: 1. Ten (10) Youth/Skill Acquisition Centres in:

Four (4) Obstetrics Flying Boats/Water Ambulances at the Marine Base in Onitsha (for Anambra East, Anambra West, Ogbaru aru Onitsha North LGAs)

 

Detailed proposal for the management of any of the facilities should  be submitted in six (6) copies to the undersigned, and should include but not be limited to:

  • Justification for desire to manage such a facility
  • Outline of work-plan for partnership
  • Evidence of previous experience in similar job
  • Evidence of technical competence
  • Evidence of adequate equipment and personnel
  • Evidence of financial capacity to effectively manage the facility
  • Proposed cost sharing between the partners

All proposals must be submitted not later than 9th August, 2011

The World Bank in conjunction with Anambra State Government is inviting interested applicants for pre-qualification as consultants for conducting studies in the following programme components:

 

Title:

Development of Anambra State Erosion and Watershed Management Designs

 

Objectives:

The study intends to provide designs for erosion and watershed management of Anambra State.

 

Scope of Work

The study will focus on the following components for the five priority sites:

I.       Development of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) Reports.

II.      Development of the project design/surveys.

III.     Development of Engineering designs

 

N/B: Separate consultants will be selected for each of the 3 scopes above

Profile of Applicants:

Interested consultants/firms shall submit their letters of interest, indicating their qualifications and experience in their relevant fields.

Technical Capacity

 

Consultants must be registered with Ministry of Environment and other relevant bodies.

 

i.        Must be registered with relevant bodies e.g

COREN, SURCON etc

ii.       Must show evidence of technical capacity and evidence of previous related jobs done by them

iii.      Must have a minimum of 5 years of consulting experience in their relevant fields

The National Centre for Energy Research and Development hereby invite Interested and credible companies with verifiable track record to apply for pre-qualification for the various projects of the Centre for the 2011 fiscal year,

 

Scope;

The scope of work includes:

LOT1:         Establishment of Energy Reference Library, Book, Journals and Specialized Software, Nsukka.

LOT 2:        Completion and Furnishing of Administrative Block and Computer Centre (NCERD, Nsukka).

LOT 3:        Landscaping of NCERD, Nsukka ground

LOT 4:        Acquisition of equipment for PV & Solar Thermal (NCERD, Nsukka), Procurement of Biomass Research Equipment (NCERD, Nsukka),  Procurement of Laboratory Equipment for Production of Biofuel  (Bioga, Biodiesel and Bioethanol) Plant Component

 

Pre-Qualification Criteria

The following requirements for prequalification must be submitted

I.       Evidence of Company Incorporation in Nigeria

II.      Evidence of Tax Clearance and VAT Certificate

III.               Evidence of Registration with National Centre for Energy Research and Development.

IV      Company profile with list of technical/management staff with evidence of previous work experience, detailed clients, nature of work/contract sum etc.

V       Articulate work plan and methodology :

VI      Evidence of financial capability

VII    Evidence of submission of Annual returns from CAC;

VIII   Experience in handling similar job/evidence of overseas representative in the case of laboratory research equipment is an added advantage.

IX      Evidence of relevant equipment and other infrastructure.

Bidding Conditions

Please Note:

i.        Successful company will be expected to deploy to the Hospital staff who posses at least SSCE and who are not above 45 years old.

ii.       Original documents on any aspect of a contractor’s submission may be requested for sighting

iii.      Jos University Teaching Hospital reserves the right to verify any claim by the companies, Companies shall therefore include necessary authority and guarantee for such verification, absence of which could result in the disqualification of such a Contractor.

iv.      The notice of “invitation to tender” shall not be construed as commitment on the part of JUTH nor shall it entitle any company to make claims whatsoever  or seek any indemnity from JUTH.
