2.       Bidding Criteria

i.        Submission of:

a)       Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

b)      Company profile and organizational structure, including names and resume of key personnel with addresses and phone numbers.

c)       Verifiable list of previous/similar major works carried out in the recent past with their locations and clients. (Copies of Completion Certificates/Final Payment Certificate should be attached.)

d)      Evidence of incorporation and current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years.

e)       Provision of VAT Certificate

f)       List of Equipment to be used for the project and their location. (State whether the equipment are leased, hired or owned)

g)       Evidence of registration of Staff with Pension Commission of Nigeria)   Submission of a bona-fide commercial bid

 

3.       Collection of Bidding Forms

The bidding documents are to be collected as from Monday, 25 July, 2011 in the office of the Director of Works, upon payment of respective non-refundable fees as contained in the table above to the Bursary Department, University of Ibadan, Ibadan.

 

4.    Submission of Documents

Duly completed bids should be neatly packaged for the review of the University. It should be hand-delivered to:

The title of the project should be written at the top left-hand corner of the covering envelope and should not bear the name of the tendering contractor.

The University of Ibadan is the Premier University in Nigeria with present average power need of about 6 Megawatts. Major expansions are still going on through physical development program upgrade and introduction of new programs and research activities. The vision of the University is to be a world class institution for academic excellence geared towards meeting societal needs with a mission to expand the frontiers of knowledge through provision of excellent conditions for learning and research among other things. Constant power supply is a sine qua non for the actualization of this.

 

The University desires to have an uninterrupted power supply in aid of its teaching, research and other activities. To this end, bids are hereby invited from interested and reputable Power Companies with relevant experience and good track record to express interest in this regard.

 

2. Bidding Criteria

i.        Interested firms are required to provide the following:

a)       Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

b)      Company profile and organizational structure, including names and resume of key personnel with addresses and phone numbers.

c)       Verifiable list of previous/similar major works carried out in the recent past with their locations and clients. (Copies of Completion Certificates/Final Payment Certificate should be attached)

d)      Evidence of incorporation and current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years.

3.0     Pre-Qualification Requirements

The following are the pre-qualification requirements that must be submitted by interested Contractors, Suppliers and/or Manufacturers, Representatives/ Distributors.

(a)     Evidence of Incorporation of Company in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs

Commission (CAC).

(b)     Audited Accounts for the last three years (2008, 2009 & 2010) for Limited liability companies

(c)      Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate (2008, 2009 & 2010)

(d)     Evidence of Tax Identification Number (TIN No.)

(e)      Evidence of Financial capability and Banking support

(f)      Evidence of similar and verifiable supplies successfully executed within the last five (5) years.

(g)     Evidence of VAT Registration where applicable.

(h)     Evidence of Manufacturer(s) representation or distributorship. Documents

submitted without this requirement for medical/hospital consumables may be disqualified.

(i)      Comprehensive Company Profile and Organisation Structure,

(j)      Evidence/Experience of key Technical Personnels’ Qualifications and Experience.

(k)    Evidence of opening of Retirement Savings Account (R.S.A) for staff or Employees with a Pension Fund Administrator (P.F.A).

 

4.0 Please Note:

i.        Notwithstanding the submission of the pre-qualification Documents, the Jos University Teaching Hospital is neither committed nor obliged to include any company on any bid list.

ii.       Only pre-qualified companies shall be invited for the Financial Bidding of the applicable projects.

iii.      Pre-qualified companies will be required to pay non-refundable fees to obtain the financial Bidding Documents in respect projects

iv.      Original documents on any aspect of a Tender’s submission may be requested for sighting.

v.       Jos University Teaching Hospital reserves the right to verify any claims by the Companies shall therefore include necessary authority and disqualification of such a bid.

vi.      The notice of “Invitation to Pre-Qualification” shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of the Jos University Teaching Hospital nor shall it entitle any company to make claims or seek any indemnity from Jos University Teaching Hospital.
