1.       The Management of Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Kaduna invites interested, competent and reputable contractors/suppliers registered in the appropriate category, who may wish to make submission for Pre-qualification for 2010 TETFUND Intervention for Procurement of Workshop/Laboratory Equipment.

 

2.       The   Pre-qualification   requirements   to   be provided by interested contractors/suppliers are as follows:

a.       Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission,

b.       Three years Audited Accounts (2008, 2009 & 2010) years,

c.       Evidence of financial capability and banking support,

d.       Technical capabilities of the Firm or Company in terms of equipment

holding and staff strength including the profile of the key officers.

e.       Verifiable evidence of similar and other jobs successfully executed with their locations.

f.       Annual Turnover,

g.       Tax Clearance Certificates for the past three years (2008, 2009 & 2010).

h.       VAT Registration and evidence of remittances in the past three years (2008, 2009 & 2010).

i.        Evidence of Registration with PENCOM

j.        Evidence of payment of Education tax for Limited or Public Liability Companies,

 

3.       Pre-qualification documents should be submitted on or before 20th April, 2012 by 12.00 noon. Only qualified companies will be short-listed and invited to tender.

 

4.       Please note that:

a.       Submissions of pre-qualification documents to AFIT is neither a commitment nor an obligation to award contract to any Contractor or his agent.

b.       AFIT will not enter into correspondence with any unsuccessful company

c.       This Advertisement shall not construed as a commitment on the part of AFIT not shall it entitle any Contractor to make any claims whatsoever or seek any indemnity from AFIT by the virtue of such having responded to this advertisement.

1.       This Invitation to Bid follows the General Procurement Notice for the Project that appears in the Development Business, issue no. 637 of August 31, 2004.

 

2.       The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a loan from the African Development Bank in various currencies to finance the cost of the Borno State Fadama Development Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this fund will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the Procurement of Vehicle.

Request for Expression of Interest for the Conduct of Annual Statutory Audit

 

The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) is the Secretariat of the National Council on Privatisation (NCP) established by the Public Enterprises (Privatisation and Commercialisation) Act 1999, to implement the Privatisation and Commercialisation programme of the Federal Government. The Bureau maintains accounting records that enable it to prepare financial statements on accrual basis within public accounts framework.

 

The said Act requires the BPE to engage external auditors to audit its accounts yearly. Pursuant to the Act, the BPE hereby invites expressions of interest from firms of Chartered Accountants to audit its annual accounts. Prospective auditors must be experienced in public sector accounting and familiar with Tally Accounting Software. Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is also essential.

The firms must be registered with the Office of the Auditor-General of the Federation.

 

Interested auditors, with presence in Abuja, are required to submit their application, enclosing the following:

 

  1. Firm’s profile;
  2. Track record of auditing for the past 10 years;
  3. Qualifications and experience of its partners and key associates;
  4. Evidence of registration with Office of Auditor-General of the Federation

3.0     Pre-Qualification Requirements:

The pre-qualification documents should include the following:

 

a.       Evidence of company’s incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

b.       Memorandum and Articles of Association

c.       Company’s profile and names/curriculum vitae of the principal officers of        the company.

d.       Company’s address/office location with telephone numbers,

e.       Three (3) years’ Tax Clearance Certificate (2009 2011).

f.       Evidence of verifiable experience on similar projects executed in the last 3years, giving names of clients, contract sum, and evidence of practical completion.

g.       Name(s) and address(es) of Banker(s) and reference letters from such banks. h. Evidence of financial capability to handle the project.

i.        VAT Registration Certificate.

 

4.0     Submission of Pre-Qualification and Tender Documents:

The complete pre-qualification documents should be neatly bound and submitted in a sealed envelope boldly marked at the top left hand corner “Pre-Qualification for M.A.N. Year 2012 Capital Projects and submitted on or before 25th April, 2012 to the Procurement Unit of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron.

 

The pre-qualification documents should reach the address (6.0) below on or before  30th April, 2012 by 12 noon.

5.0     Important Note:

a.       Pre-qualification bids should be very clear about the area(s) of proven competence and interest

b.       Failure to comply with any of the instructions above or to provide the information or any of the documents under Section 3.0 may automatically disqualify a contractor

c.       Incorrect address or label on submissions and those received after the specified date shall be rejected.

d.       “Invitation for Pre-qualification” shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria to award any form of contract to any company and/or associated companies, subcontractors or agents, nor shall it entitle any company submitting documents to make any claim whatever and seek any indemnity from the Academy by virtue of such contractors having responded to our advertisement.

 

e.       All expenses incurred in preparing and submitting pre-qualification documents shall be borne solely by the prospective contractor

f.       The Academy reserves the right to consider or not to consider any/all of the documents received.

g.       The Academy will deal only with authorized officers of the companies     submitting documents and NOT through individuals or agents.

h.       Only companies that have been successfully screened, pre-qualified and found competent to provide the service(s) will be invited to bid for the lots advertised.

i.        All contracts above N50million must be accompanied with bid security of not less than 2% of the quoted sum.
