Qualification for Bidding

To qualify for consideration, interested companies/contractors are required to submit the following:

i.        Evidence of incorporate with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

ii.       Company audited account for last three (3) years

iii.      Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years

iv.      Evidence of financial capability/banking support

v.       Experience and technical qualification of key personnel

vi.      Record of previous executed projects

vii.     Evidence of settlement and PAYEE and other withholding tax

viii.    VAT Registration and evidence of past VAT remittance

ix.       Any other relevant information

Jigawa Medicare Supply Organization (JIMSO) This notice follows the pre-qualification notice in the Daily Trust and Vanguard news papers of Tuesday, 23rd August 2011 and appointment as pre-qualified supplier vide letter No,MOH/SEC/38/324/Vol/11/212

 

1.       The Jigawa Medicare Supply Organization (JIMSO) invites bids from pre-qualified suppliers for the supply of Drugs, laboratory reagents, X-Ray materials and other medical supplies to boost and support the state Drug Revolving Fund (DRF) Scheme.

 

2.       Participation in the bid is open to all prequalified suppliers under the JIMSO Drugs Revolving Fund Scheme

 

3.       All interested prequalified suppliers shall apply to Jigawa Medicare Supply Organization (JIMSO), by collecting the appropriate bid forms at the non refundable cost of Twenty Thousand (N20, 000 00) Naira from the premises of JIMSO, located along Maiduguri road, opposite Jigawa Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (JARDA). Birnin Kudu Jigawa State Nigeria starting from Tuesday 17th April – 8th May 2012 by 9am to 4pm daily except on public holidays.

 

4.       All interested prequalified suppliers shall provide 2% of the quoted tender price as refundable bid security in a certified bank draft payable to JIMSO.

 

5.       The Bids forms shall be properly filled, sealed and be submitted to the General Manager, Jigawa Medicare Supply Organization (JIMSO). along Maiduguri road, opposite Jigawa Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (JARDA), Birnin Kudu, Jigawa State Nigeria on or before 8 May 2012 by 4,00pm except on public holidays.

 

6.       All submitted tenders will be opened on 10th May 2012, by 12.00 noon at State Ministry of Health, conference room located at the state Old Secretariat Dutse, Jigawa State Nigeria.

This request for Expression, of Interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. 637 and Daily Trust Newspaper of Nigeria of 3rd July, 2009.

 

The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International of the Third National Fadama Development Project (Fadama III) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for the following consulting Services to be implemented in the year 2012.

6 Procurement Audit It will help to seek conclusion on the procurement and contracting procedures and processes followed for the community contracts; and review compliance with the World Bank’s general guiding principles of economy and efficiency, equal opportunity, transparency and quality including but not limited to, the extent possible, technical, physical completion aspects of contracts June, 2012
7 External Audit To review the financial statements of the project and express opinion on whether it reflects a true and fair view of the financial transaction for the year of reporting December, 2012

 

The National Fadama Coordination Office (NFCO) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services. Consequently, the Consultant should submit along with their EOI documentary evidence to show:

  • General qualifications and number of key staff;
  • Description of similar assignments;
  • Nature of the assignments, locations and dates; and any other relevant information.

 

Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

 

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004 (revised October 2006 and May 2010)

Preamble-

The Kano State Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in its effort to provide meaningful development projects to its teeming populace, intends to carry out works under the contracts for which this request to express to express interest for prequalification is issued to invite interested and reputable Contractors for the exercise under the listed projects, and supplies of:-

The Kano State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, herein referred to the Employer intends to prequalify Contractors for the following works:-

b)      Building Construction.

c)       Mechanical & Electrical Works.

d)      Transport Infrastructural Facilities.

e)       Fire Control Vehicles,

f)       Towing Trucks.

 

Prequalification is open to firms and voluntary formed joined ventures.

Applications may be made for prequalification for  one or more of the above contracts.

 

 

Prequalification Requirements:

Interested bidders are required to submit the following:-

1)      Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

2)      Company Audited account for the last three (3) Years.

3)      Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years.

4)      List of source of Equipment to be used for the work.

5)      Indication of Technical and Administrative Staff strength with academic/professional qualifications and years of experience of the key personnel available for the project.

6)      Proportion of expatriate to local staff is of added advantage.

7)      Bank reference from a reputable Bank indicating financial capabilities to handle the project.

8)      Evidence of relevant verifiable experience on similar work in Nigeria over the last three (3) year stating cost, location completion certificate where available.

9)      VAT Registration certificate and evidence of VAT remittances.

10)    Evidence of Registration with Kano state government Works Registration council.

11)    Evidence of compliance with the provision of the pension reform Act.

12)    Company office address and phone numbers/e-mail and website where available.

 

 

Submission:

Submission of Application for pre-qualification must be received in sealed envelop which be either delivered by hand on registered mail, not later than 1st May, 2012. The prequalification document shall be forwarded to the address below containing “Prequalification documents for the CUSS Project” on the top right-hand corner of the Envelope.
