Invitation for Tender

 

The above Area Council hereby invites interested and reputable contractors/companies with requisite experience and good track record for prequalification and tender for the following jobs:

 

Lot 1 –         Drilling of Solar Powered Borehole, including Construction of 21.6m Elevated Storage Tank on 9.0m Steel Tower at Angwan Madaki Ushafa; Piwoyi and Tudun Fulani all in Bwari Area Council

Lot 2 –         Rehabilitation of 1.7km NYSC – Byazhin Junction Road, Kubwa

Lot 3 –         Construction of Asphalt Overlay and Trapezoidal Concrete Drainage along Madaki Street Road, Ushafa (0.45km Distance)

 

 

Tender/Bid Requirements:

  1.        i.            Evidence of Registration with the CAC
  2.      ii.            Evidence of Registration with BAC
  3.   iii.            Up-to-date Tax Clearance for the last 3 years (i.e. 2009,2010,2011)
  4.   iv.            VAT Registration and Remittances
  5.      v.            Verifiable evidence of similar jobs executed
  6.   vi.            Audited Accounts for the last 3 years (i.e. 2009, 2010, 2011)
  7. Evidence of Compliance with Pension Reform Act 2004 and Remittances to PFAs
  8. Evidence of technical capacity for construction works
  9.   ix.            Evidence of payment of Tender Fee of N15,000.00 only

 

Companies/contractors are enjoined to collect the following tender details:

  1. Drawing (where necessary)
  2. Un-priced Bills of Quantities

 

 

Note that:

  1. All payments must be by bank draft payable to Bwari Area Council, FCT. Prequalification documents are to be enveloped separately and marked as such.
  2. Tender documents are to be collected from the Office of the Head of Works Department, Bwari Area Council, Council Secretariat, Bwari, Abuja – FCT;
  3. Technical and Financial Bids are to be submitted in two separate envelopes clearly marked “Technical” or “Financial” with Lot Number specified and put in an envelope addressed to Head of Works Department, Bwari Area Council, Abuja, FCT not later than 10th December, 2012.
  4. Tender shall be opened publicly in the Council Conference Hall by 12.00pm of the closing date.
  5. Late submission of tender documents will not be entertained and that the Council is not bound to accept the tender.

B.      Pre-Qualification Criteria

  1. Evidence of company registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C.)
  2. Company’s VAT Registration Certificate
  3. Company’s Current Tax Clearance Certificate
  4. Evidence of registration of key personnel with relevant professional bodies
  5. Letter from reputable Commercial Banks(s) to the company indicating their willingness to provide financial support for the project.
  6. Verifiable evidence with photographs and certificate of job completion of at  least three (3) similar projects handled in the last three years mentioning clients, their addresses and contract value.
  7. Company’s current Audited Accounts.
  8. Evidence that company has fulfilled all its obligation to pensions, social security contributions and ITF as required by the Pension Reforms Acts 2004 and ITF amended Act 2011.
  9. Evidence of compliance to Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Act 2011
  10. List and evidence of ownership of relevant equipment to be deployed for the job.

C.    Pre-Qualification Guide

Interested companies applying for the pre-qualification should note the following:

  1. This is not an invitation to tender irrespective of the pre qualification requirements submitted to the Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze.
  2. The College is neither committed nor obliged to include any company on any bid list or to award any contract to any company or associated agents.
  3. The College will not enter into correspondence with any company on why the company was pre-qualified or not pre-qualified.
    1. This advertisement of invitation to pre-qualification exercise should not be construed as a commitment on the part of the College, nor shall it entitle companies to make any claims whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from the Institution.
    2. Submission of pre-qualification of packages is not a commitment on the College to enlist any contractor nor shall it be deemed an acceptance of any particular company for a particular contract.
    3. Full tendering procedures will be applied to companies that are pre-qualified and found prima facie  capable of executing the project who will be invited to collect the tender documents

 

D.      Submission Guide for Pre-Qualification

Two sets of the pre-qualification documents neatly bound and separately sealed in envelopes and clearly marked pre-qualification for the project/procurement of choice should be dropped in the tender box stationed in the office of the Secretary PPC on or before 10th December, 2012.

 

 

E.     Opening of Pre-Qualification Packages

Pre-qualification submission will be opened at 12 noon on the closing date December 10, 2012 at the Council Chambers FCE(T), Umunze in the presence of respondents to the pre-qualification exercise who choose to attend.

 

F.      Collection Of tender Documents for Procurement /Construction Project

Pre-qualified companies will be required to collect tender documents from the office of the Secretary PPC between 9 a.m. daily upon the presentation of original receipt for the payment of twenty thousand naira (N20,000.00) tender fee for each of the project or procurement.

 

 

G. Submission of tender Documents

Completed tender documents are to be dropped in the tender box in the office of the Secretary PPC on the date stipulated in the invitation for submission of tender.

 

H.      Opening of tender

The tenders are to be opened by 12 noon on the date of the expiration of tendering period which is to be indicated in the letter of invitation for submission of tender.

Background

Application is hereby invited from qualified Human Resources Management Consultants for staff recruitment interview and selection. Interested consulting firms should submit Technical and Financial proposals for the providing of such services.

 

 

Scope of Work

The services to be provided include but not limited to the following:

  • Liaise with the Federal Character Commission to achieve geographical spread;
  • Invite suitably qualified candidate to apply;
  • Short list candidate based on the geographical spread;
  • Liaise with the Human Resources Management Department of the Ministry;

Qualification

Firms will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the BPP Standard Request for Proposal (RFP) for the selection of Consultancy Firms (Complex Lump Sum) January 2008.

3.0     Verification of Claims

  • Auchi Polytechnic reserves the right to verify the claims made by the contractors.

 

 

4.0     Submission    of   Pre-Qualification Documents

Pre-qualification documents should be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed to the Registrar, Auchi Polytechnic, P. M. B. 13, Auchi. These documents should be dropped in the Tender Box situated in the Registrar’s Office not later than 12 noon, Thursday 29th November, 2012.

 

 

5.0     Opening of Pre-Qualification Documents

The Pre-qualification documents will be opened on Thursday, 29th November, 2012 at   12.00 noon in the Polytechnic Boardroom.

All the Tenderers and the general public are invited to witness the opening of the pre-qualification exercise, in line with Due Process Procedures.
