TSHIP (Targeted States High Impact Projects) is a five-year program focused on the improvement of Health Systems and the Management of Health Systems for higher quality Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health, Family Planning, and Reproductive Health service delivery in Nigeria. TSHIP is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by a group of foreign and local non-governmental organizations consisting of John Snow Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI), Center for Development & Population Activities (CEDPA), Futures Group International LLC, JHPIEGO, and Management Strategies for Africa (MSA).

The Targeted States High Impact Project (TSHIP) Nigeria announces the following Request for Quotation(s).

1.       Audio Visual Aides and Teaching Equipments for Pre-service Schools in Bauchi state.

2.       Training Models for Pre-service schools in Bauchi State.

3.       Male Motivators Family Planning Flip charts.

1.0            The Agency in The Guardian and Daily Trust Newspapers of March 14, 2013 placed advertisements inviting reputable and interested Contractors in Building, Civil, Mechanical/Electrical Works to submit documents for pre-qualification on numerous projects to be executed by the Agency at the Following locations:

  1. NIMASA Institute of Maritime Studies, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger State;
  2. NIMASA Institute of Maritime Studies, Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, BayeLsa State;
  3. NIMASA Institute of Maritime Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State;

2.0     In the advertisement the deadline for submission of pre-qualification documents for management of the above mentioned facilities was fixed for April 26th, 2013 at 12:00 noon, and opening of pre-qualification documents on same day at the Nigerian Maritime Resource Development Centre (NMRDC), Kirikiri, Lagos at 2:00 pm prompt.

3.0     In view of the extension, the new date for submission of pre-qualification documents is now 13th May, 2013 at 12 Noon and opening of pre-qualification documents at NMRDC, Kirikiri, Lagos by 2.00 pm,

The University of Maiduguri is hereby inviting interested competent contractors to bid in 1he pre-tender qualification exercise for its 2010, 2011 & 2012 Merged TETFUND library Development Intervention projects as follows:

 

LOT 1 –       Procurement of 3,685no. Assorted textbooks and 24no. Single Magazines/Periodicals Shelves with 4 inclinable & 4 horizontal

 

LOT 2-        Procurement of 126no. Branded HP Pavilion Smart touch 310-nl Computers, some of its special features, Blue Gate UPS, Stabilizers, Computer tables and chairs inducting Networking, Installation and Configuration.

 

2)                Pre-Qualification Requirements

Interested contractors are invited to submit the following pre-qualification

documents

i)                   Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission

ii)                Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years

iii)              Articles and Memorandum of Association

iv)              Evidence of Financial Capability

v)                Audited Account of the bidder for the last three years

vi)              List of Plants and Equipment as may be applicable, with evidences of possession

vii)           Verifiable list of similar and other jobs successfully executed with their locations, including copies of letters of award and completion certificates.

viii)         List of names of key personnel officers to be involved in the project, stating their qualification and professional registration(s) where applicable (enclose photocopies of credentials).

ix)              Evidence of compliance with the provisions of the emended ITF amendment Act 2011 (Training Contributions to the Fund).

x)                Evidence of compliance with Pencom Act 2004

xi)              Evidence of payment of N30,000.00 non-refundable fee per lot,

 

Original of documents required above must be produced for sighting during the opening session.

 

3)      Submission

The pre-qualification documents are to be in sealed envelopes clearly marked MERGED TETFUND LIBRARY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT LOT No…. (PRE-QUALIFICATION BIDS) to be submitted to the Office of the Registrar, University of Maiduguri, Submission of bids shall close at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday 14th May, 2013 to be followed immediately by opening of the submitted bids. Interested Contractors and/or their representatives and the public are invited to witness opening of the pre-qualification bids at the aforementioned date and time in the University’s Council/ Senate Chamber.

 

Note: Submission of pre-qualification documents to the University is neither a commitment nor on obligation to award contract to any contractor. The University reserves the right to reject any or all bid packages. Only pre-qualified bids shall proceed with commercial tender.
