1.    Introduction:

The Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Kebbi State intends to engage the services of a contractor for the supply of 46Nos. Toyota Hilux 4×4 pick-up vans. The Ministry wishes to invite bids from reputable contractors for Pre-qualification/Tender, for the supply of 46No. Toyota  4×4 pick-up vans.

 

 

2.0 Eligibility

1.       Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) attached with the Certificate of Registration

2.       Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years

3.       Detailed profile of the Company

4.       Evidence of financial support from a reputable bank (bank bond)

5.       VAT Registration

6.       Audited Account for the last 3 years

 

Submission of Pre-qualification/Tender Documents

Interested bidders are to submit pre-qualification and tender documents in two different sealed envelopes, addressed and submitted to the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Kebbi State.

 

All applications should be submitted not later than 29th November, 2011.  And all bids shall be opened by 12 noon the following day. Interested bidders or their representatives are expected to attend, please.

 

All bids should be submitted with a non-refundable deposit of One Hundred Thousand naira (N100, 000.00) each, to the Director of Finance, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Kebbi State.

Firms that pre-qualify will be invited to participate in the Invitation to Bid (IFB) for Cleaning, Landscaping & Gardening Services at the World Bank Office in Abuja, Nigeria. 2.0       Scope of Work

 

a)         Construction of Laboratory for Sugarcane Bio-Factory at Institute of Agricultural Research (IAR), Samaru, Zaria,

3.0     General Requirements

Interested Construction Companies and suppliers should collect Bid Documents from the Secretary, Tender’s Board of the National Sugar Development Council, after payment of a non-refundable fee of N10,000 (Ten thousand naira only) per job,

ii.         Company’s Audited Account for the last three(3)years

iii.        Tax Clearance Certificates for the last three (3) years expiring in December 2011 with Tax Identification Number (TIN)

iv.        Evidence of Compliance with Pension Reform Act, and up to date remittance of

Employees’ Pension Fund Contribution in the line  with section 6d of the Public

Procurement Act 2007;

v.         Evidence of Financial capability and banking support

vi.        Evidence of similar and verifiable projects executed (copies of Letters of

Contract Award and Completion Certificates) within the last three (3) years and

knowledge of the Industry:

vii.       Company’s Annual Turnover

viii.      Evidence of VAT registration and remittance

ix.        Comprehensive Company profile arid organisational structure

x.         Evidence of Equipment and Technology capacity

xi.        Evidence of Experience/Technical  Qualification and experience of key personnel to be deployed on the project.

xii        Sworn Affidavit indicating the authenticity of information provided to be true in every respect that the company is not in receivership and none of its Directors were ever convicted of fraudulent activity.

 

2.         Verification of Claims

Please note that Federal University Lafia reserves the right to verify claims made in the pre-qualification documents submitted by interested contractors.

 

3.         Contractors interested in more than one project must apply separately for each LOT of the projects.

 

4.         Submission of Pre-Qualification Tender

All Tenders should be in sealed envelopes and marked at the top-right hand corner of the envelope “Pre-Qualification for (Project Name)” and addressed to: The Registrar, Federal University Lafia, P.M.B. 146, Lafia, Nasarawa State.

 

5.         Tenders should be dropped in the Tender box at the Reception of the University at the University’s Take-off site, Unguwar Akunza, Obi Road, Lafia, on or before 29th November, 2011 by 12.00pm. Tenders shall be opened on the same day at 2.00pm in the temporary Conference Room of the Take-off site. Representatives of all bidding companies and the general public are invited to attend the opening exercise.

 

6.         Successful bidders shall be notified to collect the appropriate Tender documents   for the Commercial/Financial bidding.
