1.       The Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a grant from the World Bank toward the cost of National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS), Statistic for Results Facility-Catalytic Fund,(SRF-CF) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant to payments under the Contract for Procurement of Computers Hardware, Printers, Equipment and Consumables reference NPoPC/NSDS/NCB/01/2012.

3.       Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loam and IDA Credits, may(2011) and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

 

4.       Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the National Population Commission Plot 2031 Olusegim Obasanjo Way Wuse 7 Abuja and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 9.00am to 4.00pm Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays

 

5.       Qualifications requirements include:

  • Documentary Evidence of two contracts of similar nature and magnitude during the last five (5) years
  • Audited Financial Statement for the last three (3) years to demonstrate the financial capability of the Bidder in terms of profitability and adequate working capital
  • Manufacture’s authorization for equipment not produced by the company

 

A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

 

6.       A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of N10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira only). The method of payment will be Cash or bank draft in favor of National Population Commission. The Bidding Documents will be collected by the representative of the Bidder on showing of the payment receipt and a hand written application.

 

7.       Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 29th February 2012 by 12.00 noon. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be opened in the presence o the Wednesday 29,2012. All bids must be accompanied by at least 2.5% of the bid price as Bid Security or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.

3.       Vendor must provide Goods in transit insurance for the commodities (MDR – T8 2nd Line Drugs and Laboratory commodities).

4.       Vendor must be familiar with the terrain of the state

5.       Vendor must provide fleet size to be used during the distribution period.

6.       Vendor must provide age in years of the fleet to be dedicated during the distribution period

7.       Vendor must provide evidence of trained, experienced and competent staff,

8.       Vendor must able to correctly fill out a simple tracking tool. Training on the tool will be provided to the courier company selected prior to start of distribution,

9.       Ability to meet delivery targets within IHVN’s specified time period.

This invitation for expressions of interest follows the general procurement notice that appeared in UN Development Business online, Issue No.637 of 11 March 2005.

 

The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Federal Roads Development Project (FRDP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under the contract for the procurement of consulting services for the implementation of project monitoring and evaluation (M and E).

 

The objectives of the consulting services shall include, but not limited to the following:

 

  • To design basic parameters and methodologies of the survey (to assess changes in road user satisfaction, and changes in travel time and cost).
  • To assess the overall Socio-economic Impact of RSDT roads on the lives of people
  • To provide necessary justification, guide, coaching and training to M and E responsible personnel of RSDT, local organizations and primary stakeholders.
  • To play a catalyst’s role for implementation of the M and E system, planning, recommending adjustments and reporting.

 

The Road Sector Development Team of the Federal Ministry of Works now invites eligible Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

 

Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA credits by World Bank January 2011 Edition.

Requirements:

To be considered technically competent, interested companies and Contractors must submit a profile which should include:-

i)       A certified true copy of certificate of incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission

ii)      A copy of the company’s audited accounts for the preceding three years.

iii)     Evidence of payment of tax clearance certificate for the preceding three years to be enclosed

iv)     For companies or firms with five or more employees, evidence of compliance with the Pension Reform Acct, 2004.

v)      Evidence of financial capability and or banking support to execute the contract without delay if awarded.

vi)     Verifiable evidence of experience and relevant qualification of key personnel,

vii)    Verifiable evidence of projects successfully executed in Nigeria and evidence of knowledge of the relevant industry. This is to include letters of award, certificate of completion list of projects and addresses of sites or locations.

viii)   Copy of Value Added Tax (VAT) registration certificate and FIRS PIN number; evidence of previous VAT remittance to be included,

ix)     Registration with the Federal Medical Centre, Nguru.

x)      Evidence of collaboration with major distributor or manufacturer,

xi)     Evidence of annual returns from CAC

xii)    Valid registration with Federal Works Registration Board.

Technical and Financial bid (tender) documents can be obtained from the office of the procurement officer as from Monday 30th January, 2012 on payment in Bank draft of the non refundable fee of N20,000:00 for supply and N50,000:00 for construction in favour of the Federal Medical Centre, Nguru.
