Introduction

The Abubakar Tarawa Balewa University, Bauchi intends to utilize its 2006- 2008 (Merged Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) intervention to Library development.

 

Scope of Work

Lot 1:           Assorted Books on Engineering and Management Technology

Lot 2:          Supply of Assorted books on Agriculture and related fields plus journals acquisition.

Lot 3:          Supply of assorted books on Environments Technology plus Library and information Science.

Lot 4:          Supply of assorted books on Science

 

Pre-qualification Requirement and Invitation to Tender

Interested companies/ firms are required to submit on or before 5th March 2012 in sealed envelopes.

 

The documents required for pre-qualification are as follows:

i.        Certificate of incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

ii.       Certificate of registration with ATBU in category B

iii.      List of similar jobs executed in the last Three (3) years including letter of certificate for successful completion.

iv.      Tax clearance for the last three (3) years.

v.       Evidence of Financial Capability to handle the jobs

vi.      Company/ Firm profile

vii.     All bidders in addition to the requirement contained in any solicitation document shall have fulfilled their entire obligation to pay taxes, pension and social security conditions.

 

COLLECTION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS:

Tender documents will be available for collection to only pre-qualified to tender with effect from 28th February, 2012 from the office of the the Director of works of the University.

(A) Scope of Services

i)          Complete accounting package from vouchering to payment mandate including all necessary ledger entries and associated financial reports

ii)         Gratuity and monthly pension computation including biometrics of existing pensioners

iii)        Development and maintenance of records of pension contribution scheme of Area Council and LEA personnel

iv)        Pension contribution scheme data capture

 

(B) Pre-qualification Requirements

Interested companies shall forward copies of the following documents and the Originals to be made available for sighting during the Bids opening.

i)          Evidence of registration Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) articles and Memorandum of Association

ii)         Interested companies should have up to date returns with the CAC and be informed that due diligence should be conducted

iii)        Company’s audited account for the last three years prepared by a chartered accounting firm

iv)       Tax clearance certificate for the last three years, expiring December 2011

v)        List of verifiable documentary evidence of similar jobs successfully executed within the last three years (complete with award letters, completion certificates)

vi)       Reference letter from a reputable Nigerian Bank,

vii)      Sworn affidavit in line with the provision of part IV section 16, subsection 6 (e & f) of the public procurement Act, 2007.

viii)     Evidence of remittance of contributory pension funds in line with section 16, subsection 8(d) of the public procurement Act

ix)        Full detail of the firms’ profile which should include the names, telephone numbers, fax number, website. E-mail addresses, verifiable contact addresses

x)         Evidence of compliance with statutory provision of section 6 (Hi) of the Industrial Training Fund (HP), Act as amended.

 

(C)Submission

The Bid Documents should be sealed and labeled (EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT OF SOFTWARE FOR FCT AREA COUNCIL STAFF PENSION BOARD) and be put in an envelope that should be sealed and labeled as: “Development and Deployment”. The Bids should be dropped in the Tender Box at the office of the: Secretary, FCT, Tenders Board, Room 43, Former Public Building Department, FCTA Secretariat, Area II, Garki-Abuja on or before 2nd March 2012 by 12 noon.

i)          The FCT Administration is not bound to accept the highest or any other tender.

Invitation for the Pre-Qualification to Tender for Conditional Grants Scheme (CGS) Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Projects 2011 (State and Local Governments CGS Track)

The Kaduna State Government represented by the MDGs office is in the process of  getting  conditional Grants from the Federal Government under the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) programme to execute some pro-poor projects across the State in 2012.

 

The  projects are to cover Health, Water/Sanitation, and Education

The  Health sector will cover construction of some Primary and basic Health sector will cover construction of  some Primary and  basic Health Centres including  supply and  installation of Medical Equipment, furniture and  Ambulances and training of health personnel. The  water sanitation sector will cover construction and  equipping  of Hand Pumps and Solar Powered Boreholes and  Construction of VIP toilets. The Education sector  will include construction of New and rehabilitation of Primary School classrooms  including Furnishing  and training of teachers. The projects are anticipated to commence in the  1st quarter of 2012 and are  anticipated to be completed  on or before the end  of  fiscal year 2012.

Interested  contractors, suppliers and  training institutions are herby requested  to submit pre-qualification bids in areas of their competence

This includes general renovation of primary Health Centers including reroofing, wall repairs, floors, electrical and Mechanical works including Furnishing etc.

 

B.        Water/Sanitation

B1 Construction and Equipping of Hand Pumps, Boreholes. This will involve the construction and equipping of new hand-pums, boreholes etc

B2 Construction of Solar Powered Boreholes. This will involve the construction of solar powered boreholes including  hosting of tank, security house, fencing and  reticulations etc.

 

C.        Education

C1 Construction of New Classrooms

This will involve the construction of new classrooms and furnishing

C2 Rehabilitation of Classrooms

This includes general renovation of classrooms, including  reroofing, wall repairs, floors electrical and mechanical works and furnishing etc.

 

D         Pre-qualification Requirements

Interested pre-qualification bidders  must submit the following  documents:

i)          Evidence of incorporation with corporate affairs commission (CAC)

ii)         Evidence  of Registration of  Business Premises with Kaduna State Ministry of Commerce and Industries (for Contractor based in Kaduna State)

iii)        Certificate  of registration with Kaduna State Tenders Board (STB) (Current)

iv)        Evidence of financial capability/Banking Support

vi)        Evidence of experience/Technical qualification including  key personnel

vii)       List of vehicles and equipment

viii)      Evidence of VAT Registration (if Any)

ix)        Annual Turnover/Audited Accounts

 

Submission of Pre-qualification Documents

The pre-qualification documents  must be  signed  submitted  in sealed envelope clearly marked “Pre-qualification to Tender” for MDGs-CGS Projects 2011and shall be addressed and delivered to: the  State Focal Person, 2nd Floor, Oulsegun Obasanjo House, Yakubu Gowon Way, Kaduna on or before 2nd March, 2012. Tender Requirements

The following Tender documents are required:

  10. Verifiable evidence of previous experience i.e. having successfully carried out similar work/supply in the last five years.
  11. Manufacturing Companies must submit evidence of relevant manufacturing capability and facilities and SON or ISO Certificate.
  12. Test certificate issued by well known international standard Test Laboratory for Manufacturers of Equipment.
  13. Sample of Test Report of Manufactured Equipment
  14. Evidence of shipping documents to be enclosed for previous shipment (for Stockist and Suppliers).
  15. Evidence of compliance with the Federal Government Pension Reform Act.
  16. A swom affidavit affirming that none of the Directors of the Company was ever convicted in a court of Law.
  17. Any other relevant document that will place the company on a comparative advantage.
