Applications are hereby invited from reputable and interested Companies with relevant experience and good track record for pre-qualification to fender for the Supply of Internet Bandwidth to the College.

 

1.0     Pre-Qualification Criteria

The following will prequalify Companies to tender:

  1. Proven capability, relevant experience and good track record
  2. Provision of Company profile and organizational structure, including names, resumes, and telephone numbers of key personnel
  3. Provision of Verifiable list of previous similar works successfully executed within the last three years with names of clients, evidence of award and practical completion.
  4. Evidence of Incorporation of company by the Corporate-Affairs Commission (CAC)
  5. Company Tax Clearance Certificates for the last three (3) years
  6. Equipment and Technology capacity – Evidence of contact with manufacturers (if any).
  7. VAT Registration and evidence of past VAT remittances
  8. Experience / Technical qualification of key personnel with copies of certificates
  9. Audited Annual financial report of the company for the last three (3) years
  10. Evidence of financial strength, credit worthiness / Bank reference and readiness to instruct bankers to supply financial information on the company as may be required.
  11. Evidence of payment of Industrial Training Fund (ITF)
  12. Evidence of community and social responsibility ( if any)
  13. A sworn affidavit indicating that all documents submitted are genuine and verifiable
  14. A sworn affidavit that none of the Directors has been convicted in any country for any criminal offence, including fraud or financial impropriety.
  15. Bidders should accordingly include in their bid, a sworn affidavit indicating that no officer of Yaba College of Technology is a former or present Director. Shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the company.

 

2.0     Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents

Bound pre-qualification documents in wax-sealed envelope with “Pre-qualification as Contractor for the supply of Internet Bandwidth” as the case may be written” at the top left hand corner should be hand-delivered not later than 12noon on Tuesday; November 3rd , 2012 to the address below:

3.0     Opening of Pre- Qualification Documents

Pre-qualification envelopes will be opened at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 3rd, 2012, representative of companies that submitted bids are hereby invited to witness the opening.

 

4.0     Notification of Pre-qualified Bidders

Pre-qualified contractor will be contacted and they will be invited to tender accordingly

 

5.0     Collection of Tender

Pre-qualified contractors should note that they will be required to pay a non-refundable tender processing fee of ten thousand naira only (N10. 000).

 

Tender documents will be available for collection at the Physical Planning Unit at the presentation of evidence of payment of the processing fee.

Introduction

  1. Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN) located at Km14, Ibadan/ljebu-Ode Road, Idi-Ayunre, near Ibadan is one of the parastatals in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. In pursuance of implementation of its 2012 Capital budget, invitations for pre-qualification are hereby opened to interested qualified applicants for execution of the Institute’s capital project proposed for execution in 2012.

 

  1. B.   Scope of Work

The work comprises procurements and engineering works as further described below:

 

Lot 1:         Supply of Utility Vehicle (1 Jeep)

 

Lot 2:         Road Rehabilitation at CRIN Headquarters

 

Lots 3:        Supply of Metal collapsible File Cabinet

 

Lot 4:         Rehabilitation of Training Hall at CRIN Headquarters.

 

 

C.      Prequalification Requirements

Interested and competent Contractors wishing to carry out the job are required to submit the following documents which will be subjected to verification by CRIN.

  1. Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC);
  2. Evidence of Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years;
  3. Evidence of VAT registration Certificate with TIN No. and past remittances for the last 3 years;
  4. Evidence of Financial Capability from reputable Bank to execute the project.
  5. Company profile with CVs of key officers including photocopies of relevant professional/technical qualifications;
  6. List of verifiable Construction Equipments indicating ownership or lease agreement;
  7. Verification evidence of successful completion of similar works with copies of letters of award and certificates of successful completion:
  8. Evidence of Compliance with PENCOM in accordance with Pension Reform Act 2004 (as amended);
  9. Evidence of compliance with the amended Industrial Training Fund Act, 2011;
  10. A sworn affidavit disclosing whether or not any officer of Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Bureau of Public Procurement or Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria, is a former or present Director, Shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidder and confirm that all information presented in its bid are true and correct in all particular.

 

N.B: The above listed requirements shall form part of the bids evaluation criteria and non compliance with any of the stated conditions shall result in automatic disqualification of the bidder.

The corporate Affairs Commission reserves the right to inspect or verify claims/information submitted as it deems necessary. Similarly, the office is not bound to shortlist any bidder and reserves the right to annul the selection process when unforeseen developments warrant such action, without incurring any liability and assigning any reasons thereof.

The commission in compliance with the directive of the Federal Government through the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) wishes to invite Technical and Financial bids from qualified consultants with excellent track record of experience and performance for the purpose of Technical and Technical and Advisory services on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) implementation

 

2.0     Scope of Work

The corporate affairs commission seeks to adopt the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in the preparation, presentation and reporting of its financial statement as follows:

a)       Carryout clear assessment and identification of specific infrastructure required. These should include:

  • Regulatory framework.
  • Legal framework
  • Skill gaps and training requirements.
  • Technology.

 

b)      Specify bench mark for the above items in line with best practice.

c)       To provide technical assistance to the Commission on the modalities for effective migration and adoption of the IFRS with timelines.

d)      Provide necessary tool for the review and analysis of IFRS financial        statement and report writing.

e)       Framework for monitoring companies as it relates to IFRS.

 

3.0    Pre-Qualification Requirements

c)       CV’s of key personnel, showing experience and technical qualification

d)      Evidence of registration of the company’s and principal officer with the relevant professional bodies.

f)       Proposals should include methodology, work plan, cost, duration, and logistics in performing the assignment.

4.0     General Information

a)       All cost incurred in the preparation and submission of proposal are to be entirely by the applicants.

b)      Late submission will not be accepted.

c)       Firms will be prequalified based on the provision of the Public Procurement Act 2007.

d)      The organization reserves the right to verify the authenticity and accuracy of claims made in the submission.

e)       The organization reserves the right to abort, accept or reject any prequalification, if deemed necessary to do so.

f)       Only the pre-qualified firms will have their financial bids opened.

 

5.0     Submission of Proposal

a)       Two proposals; the technical and financial proposals are to be submitted simultaneously in clearly marked sealed envelopes.

b)      The work plan and methodology should be included in the technical proposal.

c)       Professional fees charges, proposed expenditures and other cost should be stated only in the financial proposals.

d)      Five copies of technical proposals should be submitted in one sealed envelope, clearly marked at the top left corner “Bid/Technical Proposals, for consultancy services on IFRS.

e)       Five copies of the Financial proposal should be submitted in another envelope, clearly marked at the top left corner “Bid/Technical Proposal for consultancy service on IFRS.
