Request for Expression of Interest as External Auditors
Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) Zaria intends to Audit its Accounts as per the relevant provision of the Financial Regulations of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
A. Scope of the Work
The scope of the work shall include carrying out comprehensive audit of the Books of Accounts and all relevant Documents at the disposal of the Hospital
B. Expression of Interest Requirements
I. Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission
II. Evidence of registration with Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation
III. Evidence of Audited Accounts and Tax/VAT clearance certificates for the last three years
IV. Original copies of documents listed in items i & iii above for sighting during the opening session.
V. Evidence of Firm’s capability (attach Curriculum Vitae of key staff)
VI. Evidence of financial capability/Support from a reputable bank.
VII. Evidence of execution of similar job in the last three years (attach award letters & job completion certificates)
C. Tenure
The appointment is for one year in the first instance, renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance for a minimum of three (3) years and maximum of five (5) years.
D. Fees
This will be negotiated and determined as part of the final selection process.
E. Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
Interested Firms of Chartered Accountants should submit their Expression of Interest Documents in sealed envelope, marked ‘Expression of Interest as External Auditors’ and to be addressed to:

F. Closing Date for Submission of Documents
All submissions must be made not later than 11:00am of 4th November, 2013. The bids will be opened at 12 noon of the same day in the presence of the representatives of the Firms and other relevant Stakeholders.
G. General Information
ABUTH reserves the right to verify any claim made by firms and can reject any tender. Only firms that are pre-qualified shall be invited to submit proposal.
