Invitation for Pre-Qualification and Tender

Introduction

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, intends to utilize its 2010 capital grant to procure and install some teaching and research equipment, rehabilitate some buildings and for construction works.

SCOPE OF WORKS

LOT 1

Construction of School of Technology Education at Gubi Campus.

LOT2

Procurement and Installation of Teaching and Research Equipment for School of Science.

LOT 3

Procurement and Installation of Teaching and Research Equipment for School of Engineering Technology.

Lot 4

Procurement and Installation of Teaching and Research Equipment tor School of Agricultural Technology.

LOT 5

Rehabilitation of staff Professorial quarters.

LOT 6

Rehabilitation of Senior Staff quarters.

LOT 7

Consultancy Services for the Reviewing of the Master Plan of ATBU Gubi Campus.

LOT 8

Consultancy Services for the Update of fixed Assets Register and revaluation of Assets.

Pre-Qualification Requirements and Invitation to Tender,

Interested companies/firms are required to submit in separate envelopes in respect of Pre-qualification and tender documents for consideration on or before 9^th August 2010.

The documents required for Pre-qualification are as follows:

1. Certificate of Incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
2. Certificate of Registration with ATBU in Category B3.
3. List of jobs executed in the last three(3) years including letter or certificate of successful completion,
4. Tax Clearance Certificate for the past three (3) years,
5. Evidence of financial capability to handle the Jobs,
6. Company/Firm Profile,
7. Details of Equipment and Plants
8. All bidders in addition to requirements contained in any solicitation documents shall have fulfilled all its obligations to pay taxes, pensions and social security contributions.

Collection of Tender documents

Tender documents are available for collection with effect from Tuesday 27^th July, 2010 from the office of Director, Physical Planning Unit of the University.

NOTE: Notwithstanding the submission of Pre-qualification documents, only qualified companies/firms shall have their tenders opened while those not qualified shall have their tenders returned unopened and their fees refunded.

Pre-qualification attracts no fee while tender documents attracts N50, 000.00, Lots 1 -4; 5 to 8 attracts N20, 000.00.

Submission Requirement

Pre-qualification/completed tender documents shall be sealed and marked “Confidential Pre-qualification” and “Tender for 2010” with lot number. This must be dropped into the Tender Box on or before 10^th August, 2010 and should be addressed to:
