Invitation for Pre – Qualification for the Construction of Typical Faculty Complexes
Kano State Government intends to establish a second State University. The Ministry for Higher Education invites capable and competent contractors registered with the Federal Ministry of Works Or Kano State Works Registration Board in relevant category to submit pre-qualification documents to the Ministry.
2. The project entails a complex consisting of a Faculty building Complex capable of accommodating 6 departments. The complex shall be of three (3) floors comprising the following:
a. Central admin block for Principal Officers.
b. 5 Departments with Department Heads Offices.
c. 3 Lecture Theaters (500 seats capacity each).
d. 24 Lecture halls (120 seats capacity each)
e. 24 Laboratories/micro teaching rooms.
f. 150 Staff offices with 6 staff common rooms.
3. The following pre-qualification requirements are needed:
a. Evidence of incorporation or registration of business name:
b. Registration with State’s works Registration Board in relevant category
c. Company Audited accounts for three years
d. Evidence of tax clearance certificate for three years
e. Evidence of Financial capability and Banking support:
f. Experiences and technical qualification of key personnel
g. Record of previous projects executed and evidence of knowledge of the industry:
h. Equipment plants and Technology capacity
i. Evidence of settlement of PAYE and other withholding taxes due to the state
j. VAT registration and evidence of past VAT remittances:
k. Local resource utilization and
l. Community and social responsibility support
4. Pre-qualified companies will be required to pay tender fees at the Ministry of Finance before collection of tender documents from the Ministry for Higher Education.
