Invitation to Tender
Introduction
The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) intends to uses part of its 2012 Internally Generated Revenue (IGP) to fund the procurement of the under listed jobs in its Lagos and Abuja and wishes to invite qualified and experienced contractors to tender for the jobs:
LOT 1. Equipping of Technical Library in Lagos.
LOT 2. Production of Accident reports.
LOT 3. Supply and installation of Digital PABX for AIB offices in Abuja and Lagos,
LOT 4. Procurement of accident investigators-Go-Kits.
LOT 5. Subscription and procurement of ICAO Books and other aviation Journals.
LOT 6. Furnishing of Directors offices
LOT 7. Provision of Bore hole and water treatment plant in Abuja office
LOT 8. Procurement and installation of 10 nos. Computer Desktop systems and 18 nos Lap top
LOT 9a. Provision of Cleaning Services in Abuja office of the Bureau.
LOT. 9b. Provision of Cleaning Services in Lagos office of the Bureau
LOT 10a. Provision of Security Services in Lagos office of the Bureau
LOT 10b. Provision of Security Services in Abuja office of the Bureau
Scope of Work.
The scope of work for the various jobs as follows:
LOT. 1. The provision of Library equipment for the Bureau’s Technical Library.
LOT 2. The printing and up loading of the Bureau’s accident reports in its repository website
LOT 3. Provision of 64 nos terminals of Pabx in the Bureau office in Abuja and Lagos respectively.
LOT 4. Purchase and Supply of durable accident investigators Go-Kits.
LOT 5. Procurement of various ICAO Books and aviation journals as well as subscribing to relevant ICAO sites
LOT 6. Provision of furniture in the offices of 3 directors of the Bureau in Abuja and Lagos
LOT 7. Sinking of bore 1 (one) no. bore hole and installation of water treatment plant and overhead tank in the Bureau office in Abuja.
LOT 8. Purchase and supply of 10 nos. Desk Tops and 18 nos Lap tops.
For the Security services, interested firms shall be required to provide adequate professional security services for the Bureau’s personnel and properties in Abuja and Lagos respectively.
The cleaning service provider shall be expected to provide professional for the Bureau’s office premises at Abuja and Lagos respectively.
The Insurance broker shall be expected to advice Bureau on insurance matters and provide insurance coverage for the Bureau’s assets,
The tenders document can be collected from the Secretary of the Tenders Board on payment of Tenders fee of Ten Thousand naira (N10,000.00) only.
Eligibility/Requirements
Interested Contractors should submit the following documents:
- Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- Certified true copies of certificate of incorporation/memorandum and articles of association with forms C02 & CO7.
- Evidence of remittance of Withholding Tax for the last three (3) years (i.e, 2008, 2009 and 2010)/current Tax clearance certificates.
- Value added Tax Registration Certificates with evidence of three (3) years (i.e, 2008, 2009 and 2010) remittances.
- Company profile and detailed CV of key professional staff.
- Name and address of banker(s) with a commitment letter of reference from the bank.
- Evidence of involvement/experience in similar jobs stating contract sum, copies of award letters, completion certificates should be enclosed.
- Audited financial statements of the firm for the past three (3) years (i.e. 2008, 2009 and 2010).
- An affidavit confirming the authenticity and genuineness of the documents submitted
Interested firms must show evidence of compliance with the pensions Act 2004,
D. Submission of Expressions of Interest.
Interested contractors shall submit their Technical and Financial Tenders on or before 27th of April, 2012 and the tenders/bids document shall be opened be 12.noon on the same day.
The submission shall be made in one soft copy in a flash drive and two hard copies sealed in an envelope with the lot number and name of the job the firm is intending to undertake clearly written on the envelope and submitted to:

E. Important Information.
1. Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) reserves the right to;
i verify the authenticity of any claims made on the documents submitted by the companies.
ii. verify the company address/location indicated in the expression of interest.
2. Failure to comply strictly with the instructions above and to provide any required documents may result in the disqualification of the company.
3. Original documents listed in item c above must be produced for sighting.
4 Tender documents submitted after the closing date and time shall be rejected.
5. Interested firms are to note that the Accident Investigation Bureau shall not be liable for the expenses incurred by them on their submission and that the Bureau shall short list only firms whose submissions are considered to be responsive to the requirements of the Bureau.
