The Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu wishes to invite interested and qualified firms wishing to take over its cleaning services.

 

Interested and competent firms with required experience are requested to submit pre-qualification documents arrange in the following order for consideration.

 

  1. Evidence of Registration and Incorporation of company by Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
  2. Company Income Tax Certificate for the last three (3) years (CITC)
  3. Evidence of Registration with the Polytechnic and or the Federal Ministry of Works in the relevance category (FMW)
  4. Company Audited Account for the last three (3) years (CAA)
  5. List of key staff with evidence of proficiency and experience
  6. Evidence of Financial Capacity and Banking support
  7. Verifiable list of similar works successfully completed in the last three (3) years with names of Client evidence of award and completion.
  8. Equipment and Technology Capacity
  9. VAT Registration and evidence of Vat remittance
  10. Evidence of community and Social Responsibility (CSR)

 

 

You will be required to purchase bid documents from the Bursary Department on payment of a non-refundable fee of N20, 000, 00 to be duly completed and submitted together with the pre-qualification documents.

 

 

All documents are to be submitted to the Office of the Registrar in a sealed envelope stating (CLEANING SERVICES) to reach him not later than

24th March, 2011,

 

All submissions will be opened at 12:00pm on the closing date in the Council Chambers of the Polytechnic and all applicants and members of the public are invited to attend.

Expression of Interest for the Engagement of Consultants for the Design of a Modern Truck Parks in Selected Locations across the Country

Introduction:-

 

 

The Agency is desirous of engaging a reputable consultant to develop guiding designs and other technical aspects that relates to the development of the proposed modern truck parks across the nation. To this end, consultants in the construction industry are hereby invited to submit expression of interest to participate in the above programme.

 

 

Description/Scope of Work:-

For the purpose of this advert, a truck park is defined as a facility within or outside the right of way, developed primarily to provide safety and convenience to commuters along highways. They provide a place for travelers to relax and take a break from highway travels and serve the multiple purpose of providing comfort stations, and in most cases food, beverages and shopping services as well as public place convenience. Other services provided are tourist information centre, clinics, workshop centre, security, fuelling services, fire services, etc.

 

Consultants Required

For the purpose of this works, the following consultants are required:-

  1. Architectural Consultant
  2. Quantity Surveying Consultant
  3. Structural Engineering Consultant
  4. Mechanical Engineering Consultant and
  5. Electrical Engineering Consultant

 

Pre-Qualification Requirement:-

Consultants for the above named projects are expected to meet the following minimum requirement

 

  • Evidence of Company’s registration with CAC.
  • Tax clearance for the last three (3) years.
  • Company profile with list of key management staff and other qualification including copies of professional membership of relevant professional institutions.
  • Evidence of registration with relevant professional institutions
  • Evidence of registration with PENCOM.
  • Audited company account for the last three (3) years
  • Evidence of having carried out similar works in the past.

Interested National and International Manufacturing Companies and Suppliers with relevant requisite experience are hereby invited to submit quotations for the manufacture and supply of sets of Pilgrims’ standard travelling suitcases and hand luggage for the 201 1 Hajj.

 

 

Technical Specification

a)     The size of the standard 40kg suitcase should be:

i.            75 x 50 x 24cm
ii.            The outer part shall consist of PVC with Eva hard sheet material
iii.            The inner part shall consist of silk lining
iv.            Rubber tyres (wheels) at both edges of the bottom
v.            Top rubberized handle with condensed plastic cover resting on the ribbet and inner protective plastic piping.

 

b)    The 10kg hand luggage should be:

i.            50 x 35 x 20cm
ii.            The outer part shall consist of PVC with Eva hard sheet material
iii.            The inner part shall consist of silk lining
iv.            Rubber tyres (wheels) at the bottom with aluminum sliding handle trolley.
v.            Collapsible in design i.e without the inner plastic protective piping.

c)     The suitcases and hand bags are expected to be produced in different selected colours (to be provided to successful companies) with the National colours boldly displayed at the background on both sides.

d)    The Supplier/Manufacturer shall design a pictorial view of IATA prohibited items to be pasted on the side views of the 40kg suitcases.

Requirements:

i.            Evidence of registration with NAHCON
ii.            Certificate of Incorporation
iii.            Valid/verifiable Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years
iv.            Evidence of registration for VAT/VAT remittance.
v.            One sample each of the 40kg suitcase and 10 kg hand luggage

 

Mode of Application

Interested Manufacturing Companies and Suppliers should submit their application to the Secretary to the Commission, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), No, 1 First Avenue, Off Ahmadu Bello way Central Business District, Sokoto House, Abuja not later than  30th March, 2011

MANUFACTURERS/SUPPLIERS that had supplied pilgrims’ suitcases before must tender a clearance letter of satisfactory and efficient service delivery from the States they supplied to in the past:

 

i.            All applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of N500.000.00 (Five hundred thousand Naira only) made payable in bank draft to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
ii.            Successful applicants will pay an appropriate licensing fee.

d) Bidding

Bidding would strictly follow laid down procedure and principles of due process. Completed tenders must be submitted in sealed envelop marked confidential and addressed to the Secretary Tender Board and deposited in the tender box not later than 12.00 noon on or before Tuesday ,5th April, 2011. Opening of the tender shall be by 1.00pm same day.

 

The tender board reserves the right to reject any tender in part or in full.
