Eligibility

Scope of Work

Construction of a Multi-Storey State of the Art Complex Consistent with current day Government Housing Administrative Development requirement.

Prospective bidders are required to submit their bid containing the under listed documents in clearly marked envelopes to the Office of the Permanent Secretary on or before 19th October, 2012.

 

(a)     Payment of non-refundable Processing fee of N300.000 (three hundred thousand naira only) made in bank draft in favour of Abia State Government of Nigeria to the Director of Finance, Ministry of Housing, Umuahia, Abia State. The Director of Finance will issue receipt. Bidders will, thereafter, collect relevant drawings and plans of the project.

 

(b)     Certificate of Registration with Abia State Ministry of Works, as a building contractor.

(c)      Certificate   of   registration   with   Corporate   Affairs Commission (CAC).

(d)     Company profile including personnel and Equipment.

(e)      Details of verifiable experience on related projects.

(f)      Current Tax Clearance Certificate

(g)     Current financial status of the Company,

(h)     Fully priced Bill of Quantities (BoQ)

(i)      Certified True copies of Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company and,

(j)      Evidence of relevant current returns made by the Company to the registration body.

Tender Fee

The Tender fee payable shall be calculated at N5, 000 (five thousand naira only) per N10, 000,000 (ten million naira only) bidded and its proportion thereof,

Project: Erection of Street Names Amp Road Identification Signs in Ibadan

 

General Description:

The Oyo State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development based on legal provision and rational consideration, has decided to initiate the erecting of Street Names and Road Identification Signs in Ibadan City and its environs.

 

The Ministry observed that Ibadan city, which is one of the largest cities in the country, has no standard or uniform street/road directional guides. The street names and road Identification Signs are means of properties identification within the neighbourhoods and can serve as path finders for visitors from home and abroad, to places of historical interest which spread across the city of Ibadan land.

 

Scope of the Service:

The scope of the service required is to cover the eleven (11) Local Governments in Ibadan land.

 

The interested consultants, members of the Public with relevant discipline in outdoor advertisement are hereby invited to submit tender proposal on the project.

 

Requirements/Requisites for Tenders:

  1. Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC);
  2. Evidence of Registration with Oyo State Bureau of Public Procurement;
  3. Evidence of Registration of Business Premises with Oyo State Ministry of Trade Investment and Co-operatives;
  4. Evidence  of Companies  Income  Tax Clearance in the last three years;

Invitation for Registration/Revalidation as Private Refuse Contractor with Oyo State Solid Waste Management Authority (OYOWMA)

 

Preamble:

In the government effort to have a sustainable Environment amongst others, an Effective Waste Management Mechanism in Oyo State, the amendment to the Waste Management Law to regulate Private Sector Participation in Tenement/Residential, Commercial/Institution and Industrial Premises is now in effect.

This amendment makes it the exclusive preserve of the authority to determine the waste/refuse quantum generated; the associated cost for collection, transportation and disposal of these Waste.

 

1.   Specification:

As part of the Clean Street Initiative of the State Government/ interested Institutions, relevant companies and existing refuse contractors are hereby invited to obtain application form for registration/revalidation as Private Refuse Contractor in the management of solid waste through Private Sector Participation in Oyo State in the following categories.

 

  1. Tenement/Residential
  2. Commercial/Institutions
  3. Industrial

 

The existing registered refuse contractors with OYOWMA are to apply for revalidation of their registrations bearing in mind the new regulations with documents for revalidation which includes evidence of renewal and dumping fees paid to date.

 

2.       Condition for Eligibility

i.        Obtain application form for category of interest:

 

Domestic:                       N2, 500.00

Commercial Institution: N5, 000.00

Industrial:                       N10, 000.00

ii.       Registration of company with Corporate Affairs Commission CAC

iii.      Evidence of registration of Business premises with the Ministry of Trade and Investment Oyo State

iv.      Photocopies of Company’s financial details for the past three years (if not a new company);

v.       Tax Clearance of two Directors of the Company for three years consecutively;

vi.      Evidence of Ownership of at least a Refuse compactor-truck of 10-30 Metric tons capacity/per Premise;

vii.     Submission of company profile containing information on key staff, operational Bank Account Number, evidences of similar jobs successfully handled in the past, and equipment to execute the assignment;

viii.    Readiness to promptly evacuate refuse, provision of adequate labour that must be properly kitted with approved, customized and well kitted uniforms with reflective jackets; and

ix.      Evidence of registration with EHORECON (Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria); and

x.       Readiness to abide by Standard Regulations in Writing.

 

Interested Contractors are advised to contact the office of the General Manager of the Authority for further details.

 

3.       Submission:

All valid applications and required documents should be submitted in 12″ x 16″ sealed envelope addressed to The Executive Chairman, Oyo State Solid Waste Management Authority, Administrative Yard Agodi, Ibadan on or before 12 noon (Local time) not later than 3rd October, 2012, with Title: “PRIVATE REFUSE CONTRACTOR” written on the right hand side of the envelope. Please note that the Authority is not bound whatsoever to accept the Area of Operation or category proposed by any Contractor.

 

4.       Successful Applications

At the expiration of registration/revalidation period that is 3rd October, 2012, the Authority shall communicate the successful applicants accordingly.

 

Keeping Oyo State clean and tidy is a Task that must be done collectively.
