The Federal University Technology, Owerri (FUTO) invites competent contractors to pre-qualify/Tender for the following approved TETfund Special Intervention Projects:-

LOT 1:        Supply and installation of Solar Plants & Street Lighting tor Classroom/Lecture Theatre and Students Hostels.

LOT 2:        Supply and Installation of 500KVA Sound Proof Generating Sets.

LOT 3:        Supply and Installation of farm implements: Harrower, Slashers and Pailloader to the School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology.

LOT4:         Supply and Installation of Furniture for Lecture Theatre, Academic Staff Offices and Computer Tables with Chairs and Accessories.

Pre-Qualification Requirements:

Mandatory Requirements From (I-IV Will Be Presented for Sighting during Opening)

  1.  Evidence of Incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
  2.  Tax Clearance for the past 3-years ie. 2010, 2011 and 2012.
  3.  Evidence of compliance with PENCOM requirements (Certificate)
  4. Evidence of registration with IFF (Certificate)

 

Other Requirements

  1.    V.            List of similar and verifiable projects successfully executed by your company with locations, letters of award, completion certificates within the last 5 years,
  2. Company Resume
  3. List and qualifications of staff who will execute the work (copies of the

Certificate must be included).

  1. Bank Reference Letter/Bank Support showing evidence of financial capability to execute the project.
  2. List of equipments needed for the execution of the project. Proof of ownership must be provided.
  3.    X.            Evidence of remittance of Value Added Tax (VAT).

 

Collection of Bid Documents/Tender and Opening

Contractors are to collect Bid documents/Tender from the Office of the Director, Physical Planning Unit upon the payment of N.30.000.00 (Thirty Thousand Naira Only) to the cash Office, Bursary Department of FUTO and obtain receipt of payment and only pre-qualified companies will have their Bids analysed.

 

Submission of Pre-Qualification/Tender Documents

Completed documents, which must be sealed and marked with the title of the project on the top left-hand corner of the envelop should be dropped in a pre-qualification/tender box in the office not later than 2.00noon, June 28th, 2013 as it will be opened same day by 2pm.

(a.)    The participation in the bid does not guarantee any person the right to be

selected or given any job.

(b.)    That by the submission of tender documents, the University is neither committed nor obliged to award to any contractor/Supplier/Agency,

(c.)     That this advertisement for invitation for pre-qualification and tender shall not be misconstrued as commitment on the part of the University, nor shall it entitle any contractor/firm to make any claims whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from the University,

5.       Qualification Requirements:

i)       Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria (CAC).

ii)      Manufacturer authorization (NAFDAC) Registration number.

iii)     Evidence of tax clearance for three consecutive years.

iv)     Evidence of recommendation from Company’s Banters certifying the financial capacity and capability to execute the contract if awarded.

v)      Record of past performance/experience similar contract(s) executed with date(s).

vi)     Annual turnover and audited statement of accounts for the past three years.

vii)    Any relevant information that would be of advantage for the purpose of this bidding.

6.       Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified hi the World Bank guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source as defined in the guidelines.

7.       Bidding documents may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of written application to the Jigawa State Agency for the Control of AIDS upon payment of Non-refundable fee of fifteen Thousand Naira (N15, 000.00) in cash/bank draft by 12.00 noon.

8.       Closing of Submissions:

Submission of BIDS closes on Thursday 13th July, 2013. Late bids will be rejected, white electronic bidding is not accepted. Bids opening will take place on the same day by 2.00 pm at the Conference room of the Agency.
