Tender Opportunity for the Provision of Security Services

Introduction

Statoil (Nigeria) Limited acting in its capacity as the operator of OML 128 and 129, requires the services of competent and qualified contractors to provide security services within her office and residential premises located at Queen’s driver and Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, Lagos

Scope of Work

Covers the provision of 24hrs security services as the office and residential complex and this include the:

  • Provision of a maximum of thirty two (32) literate (minimum, HND) and physically fit security guards.
  • Guards should be experienced and conversant with operations and use of hand held radios
  • Good  knowledge  of the  principles  of   physical  and procedural man guarding is essential.
  • Provision of 24hrs day and night guards services. Each security guard shall not work for more than 8 hours per day.
  • Provision of regular supervisory services (all security guards shall be effectively supervised by a superior Security officer of the Contractor who shall make periodic and agreed regular visits or as may be required.)
  • Provision of full uniforms for the guards, which shall be inscribed with the Contractor’s logo.
  • Provision of all logistics needed for the efficient running of the service, this include the provision of dedicated bus service to commute the guards to and from work site
  • Provision of lunch for the dedicated staffers during work hours,
  • Provision of relieve security guards for guards that are on casual/annual leave.

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. a. To be eligible for this tender exercise  interested contractors are required to be pre-qualified in (Product /Service) category39905 Security in NipeX Joint Qualification System (NJQS) database. All successfully pre-qualified suppliers in this category will receive Invitation to Technical Tender (ITT)
  2. b. To determine if you are pre-qualified and to view the product/service category you are listed for: Open www.nipexng.com and access NJQS with your log in details, click on continue Joint Qualification Scheme tool, click check my supplier status and then click supplier product group,
  3. c. If you are not listed in a product/service category you are registered with DPR to do business, contact NipeX office at 30, Oyinkan Abayomi Street Ikoyi Lagos with your DPR certificate as evidence for necessary update,
  4. d. To  initiate the JQS pre-qualification process, access www.nipexng.com to download application form, make necessary payments and contact NipeX office for further action,
  5. e. To be eligible, all tenders must comply with the Nigerian Content requirements in the NipeX system.

Nigerian Content:

All tenderers are to provide evidence:

  • That their company is indigenous, with at least 60% Nigerian ownership
  • That its supply chain, for the provision of uniforms and accoutrements, is localized
  • That Nigerians constitute a greater percentage of its employees and management
  • Of their company’s  development/training/succession plan  for  its Nigerian employees and Nigerian management staff
  • That its training facilities are located within Nigeria.

Closing date

Only tenderers who are registered with NJQS Product/Category as on or before 12th October 2010 shall be invited to submit Technical Bids
