Invitation for Technical and Financial Tenders for Supply and Installation of Intelligent Security Access Control System on Lifts

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) as part of measures to enhance the security system in its Head Office building intends to put in place an Intelligent Security Access Control System for the new six (6) Schindler Lifts.

This security device MUST be compatible with the Schindler Lift Technology.

The Corporation is therefore inviting reputable and competent contractors with verifiable evidence of Schindler Lift dealership for both the Technical and Financial tenders.

Scope of Work

  1. Supply, installation and commissioning of Intelligent Access Control System with all the related equipment that has the capability to support up to 4000 card holders.
  2. Provision of the related electronic/electrical hardwares and softwares to facilitate the functioning of the security device.

Requirements for Technical Tender

Interested bidders must satisfy the following requirements for the technical bid:

a)     Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

b)    Certified true copy of memorandum and articles of association.

c)     Company certified audited accounts for the last three (3) years (2009, 2008 and 2007).

d)    Tax clearance certificate for three (3) years (2009, 2008 and 2007).

e)     Tax Identification Number (TIN) obtainable from Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS).

f)      VAT registration certificate and evidence of VAT remittances.

g)     Evidence of financial capability or banking support.

h)    A sworn statement that the company is not in receivership.

i)       Profile of the company indicating its managerial and technical capacities.

j)       Evidence of a standard service workshop capable of undertaking after sales support service.

k)    Evidence of verifiable dealership with Schindler Lifts manufacturer.

l)       Evidence of verifiable past experiences in handling similar jobs.

m)  Any other relevant information or documentation to enhance the company’s application.

n)    Evidence of compliance with Pension Act.

Sworn Statement of Company Directors of not being convicted of any fraud or criminal office.

Requirements for Financial Tender

Tender documents specifying the detail description of the device is obtainable from the Head of Administration, NDIC Head Office, Abuja between 10:00am to 2:00pm during the bid period upon payment of a non-refundable Tender Fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N 10,000.00) in payable to the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Submission of Tender Documents

Five (5) copies each of the “technical” and “financial” tenders should be submitted in separate sealed envelopes and clearly marked “TECHNICAL TENDER” and

“FINANCIAL TENDER” respectively.

The tender documents must be submitted on or before 12th July, 2010, by 1.00pm.

Tenderers are expected to sign a Register before dropping their tenders in the Tender Box. Any tender submitted after the date and time stated above stands disqualified.

Submission of tender by post is not acceptable.

Opening of T Enders

The opening of tenders shall be at 2:00pm on the date of closure of tender submission.

Additional Information

  1. Prospective tenderers are advised to inspect the installation before tendering.
  2. Failure to satisfactorily meet the conditions for tender will result to invalidation of such tenders.
  3. NDIC shall reserve the right to verify the authenticity of claims made and to disqualify any tenderer on false or unverifiable claim.
  4. NDIC shall not be liable for any expenses incurred by the prospective tenderers in preparing their tenders or for inspection visits carried out.
  5. This advert also serves as an invitation to any interested NGO and members of the general public who may wish to observe the exercise.
