Invitation for Pre-Qualification
Introduction:
Federal Ministry of Environment in Conjunction with the Ecological Fund Office is implementing Erosion Control Projects in the South-East Zone of the Federation.
The Federal Ministry of Environment is therefore inviting interested contractors to submit tenders for the above project.
Scope of Work:
For the above projects, the following general Scope of Work Apply:
- Clearing the site of stumps, shrubs or any obstruction.
- Earthworks:
- Excavation in soft earth and Rocks
- Filling of gullies areas
- Back Ring with a approved laterites soil
- Dredging of the channel (where appropriate)
- Construction of Reinforced concrete Drains
- Construction of Drop structures, Basins, Culverts and Redemption slabs.
- Construction of embankments for dykes, mixed structure Dams and retaining walls.
- Stone pitching and protection of slopes and embankments.
- Rehabilitation and eroded Access Road.
- Demobilization and carting away of debris.

Lot: 2 Orunruala Oguduasa Gulley Erosion site, Abia State.
Lot: 3 Pepple Aguwa and Akpu Road Gulley Erosion, Abia State.
Lot: 4 Nanka Recent Landslide Project Phase 1, Anambra State.
Lot: 5 Nkisi Water Works in Onitsha North LGA, Anambra State.
Lot: 6 Sakamori/Nwangene Flood Control/Dredging Project, Onitsha, Anambra State.
Lot: 7 Okpolo/Ire Ojoto Erosion site, Anambra State.
Lot: 8 Flood/Erosion and Road Improvement Measures at Alor Town, Idemili LGA, Anambra State.
Lot: 9 Ajali Owa Gully and Erosion Control sites, Ezecewu LGA, Enugu State.
Lot: 10 Eguenyi Mpu-Ezza-Umuorma_Azunkwo Erosion Control in Aniniri LGA Enugu State.
Lot: 11 Obinagu-Akpulu-Enugueze-Umunobagu Erosion Control Project in Udi LGA, Enugu State.
Lot: 12 Umuoza-Ugir Erosion Control at Isiala-Mbano, Imo State.
Lot: 13 Nekede (Umumbazu) Gully Erosion Control, Owerri West LGA, Imo State.
Lot: 14 St. Kizito Sec. School Umichima Gulley Erosion Control, Ideato South LGA, Imo State.
Lot: 15 Channelization of Iyi Okwu and Iyiudele Stream in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
Tender Requirements:
Interested, suitable and reputable companies are required to submit the following Pre-qualification documents. Failure to submit any of the under listed documents may result in the disqualification of the Contractor.
- Certificate of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (Limited liability only)
- Provide details of Company’s profile including the Curriculum Vitae of the key professional staff and other resources.
- Company’s current Tax Clearance certificate for the last three (3) years. (State Tax Identification Number TIN)
- Verifiable evidence of previous experience in the jobs of this magnitude/nature. (Attach letter of Award and Certificate of Completion)
- Evidence from the company’s Bankers as to its financial capacity/Bank Support to undertake the works, if awarded.
- Name/e-mail Address and phone number of contact person.
- Company Audited Account for the last 3 Years.
- Any other information that would be of advantage to the company.
- A Letter authorizing the federal Ministry of Environment to verify claims with relevant agencies or bodies.
- Evidence of VAT Registration and Remittance.
- Evidence of fulfillment of Pension and social contribution obligations of company staff.
