1.0 Introduction:

Sahara Energy Exploration & Production Limited (SEEPL) is the Operator of OPL 284 Deep Offshore Block, under a Production Sharing Contract together with its co-venturers BG Nigeria Limited and Lotus Energy Limited.

SEEPL intends to acquire a minimum of 500sq km of 3D Seismic Data over the OPL 284 concession and seeks interested and reputable contractors with suitable experience in the provision of 3D Seismic Data Acquisition Services in deep offshore areas.

2.0 Scope of Work:

The scope of work consists of activities required to accomplish, as a minimum, the following:

  • Vessel available in Nigeria in Q1 / O2 2011
  • HSSE-MS compliant with OGP industry standards
  • Dual Source airgun source 3000cu inch source or larger @ 2000-2500 psi
  • Source Depth –                         : 5m to 7m (+/- 0.50m)
  • Shot interval / Source              : 50m per subsurface cmp line
  • X-line Bin Spacing                   : 12.5m to 25m
  • Number of streamers               : 8 +
  • Active Streamer Length                    : > 6000m
  • Streamer Separation                : 50-100m
  • Number of Groups                            : 480+ @ 12.5m
  • Streamer Depth                       : 7m to 9m (+/- 0.50m)
  • Record Length                         : 8 seconds
  • Sample Rate                                      : 2ms
  • Tape Formal/Media Type                 : SEG-D & 3592 cartridge
  • Integrated GPS/Acoustic network to locate sources and streamer components within +/- 10m
  • Evidence of compliance with NIMASA and Cabotage regulations Availability of qualified and suitably experienced personnel
  • Commencement Date              : QI/Q2 2011
  • Term                                        :Time necessary to complete, estimated 3 months

3.0     Mandatory Requirements:

  1. To be eligible for this tender exercise, interested contractors are required to be pre-qualified in the 2D/3D Seismic Des Acquisition Services (Nipex product code 3,10.01) category in NipeX Joint Qualification System (NJQS) database. All successfully pre-qualified suppliers in this category will receive Invitation to Technical Tender (ITT).
  2. To determine if you are pre-qualified and view the product/service category you are listed ion Open www.nipexng.com and access NJQS with your log in details, click on continue Joint Qualification Scheme tool, click check my supplier status and then supplier product group.
  3. If you are not listed in a product/service category in which you are registered with DPR to do business, contact NipeX office at 30, Oyinkan Abayomi Street, Ikoyi Lagos with your DPR certificate as evidence for necessary update.
  4. To initiate the JQS pre-qualification process, access www.nipexng.com to download application form, make necessary payments and contact NipeX office for further action.
  5. To be eligible, all tenders must comply with the Nigerian Content requirements in the NipeX system.

4.0 Closing Date:

Only tenderers who are registered with the relevant NJQS Product/Category as at on or before 19th May 2010 being the advert close date shall be invited to submit Technical Bids.
