This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue No. 4522 of 2nd April 2009.

2.    The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of Health Systems Development Project II (HSDP-II), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the NGS-HSDP II contract for the procurement of Medical Equipment, Furniture and Text Books,

3.    The Niger State Health Systems Development Project II now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of the Medical Equipment, Furniture and Text Books, listed as follows:

Bidders may bid for any one or more lots and discounts offered for the award of combined lots will be considered in Bid Evaluation. Bidders shall provide separate Bid Security for each lot.

4.    Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5.    Interested edible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below between the hours of 9.00 am -4.00pm (Mondays -Thursdays) and 9.00 am -1,00pm (Fridays)

6.    A complete set of bidding documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given above and upon payment of a non-refundable fees of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15, 000.00) or One Hundred US Dollars (US$100.00) paid in Cash or Bank Drafts. The Bidding document could be collected by hand from the Project office of HSDP-II. Bidders can bid for one or more lots.

7.    Bids must be delivered to me Niger State Health Systems Development Project Office (HSDP-II), Ministry of Health, Minna on or before 10:00am on 1st December 2010. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 3% of the bid amount and must be in the form specified in the ITB Data Sheet. Late bids will be receded.

Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or representatives who choose to attend at the Niger State Health Systems Development Project Office (HSDP-II), Ministry of Health, Minna at 10.00 am prompt on 1st December 2010.
