Invitation to Tender

 

Introduction

The Federal Ministry of Communication Technology in pursuance of its mandate is desirous of undertaking the procurement of some of its projects under the 2012 Capital Budget.

 

Invitation of Tenders:

Interested competent and qualified contractors are hereby invited to tender for the following projects.

 

Description of Work:

Lot A:         Rehabilitation of Radio Monitoring Building at International Radio Monitoring Station (IRMS), Azare-Bauchi State.

Lot B:         Rehabilitation of Radio Monitoring Building at International Radio Monitoring Station (IRMS), Ipaja- Lagos State.

Lot C:         Rehabilitation of Radio Monitoring Building at International Radio Monitoring Station (IRMS), Ogoja-Cross River State.

Lot D:         Rehabilitation of Building at the Community Centre (IRMS) Azare-Bauchi State.

Lot E:         Rehabilitation of Building at the Community Centre (IRMS), Gasua –Zamfara State.

Lot F:          Rehabilitation of Building at the Community Centre (IRMS) at Ipaja – Lagos State.

Lot G:         Citizens Information Center: Construction of 1No. Building at Abuja Technology Village, Abuja.

 

Tender Qualifications/Requirements:

Interested and reputable contractors are requested to forward for consideration the following pre-qualification documents: –

i.        Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

ii.       Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate of the last three (3) years (2009-2011).

iii.      Evidence of VAT Registration.

iv.      Evidence of Registration with National Pensions Commission.

v.       Evidence of Registration with Industrial Training Fund (ITF).

vi.      Company’s experience and works of similar nature.

vii.     Relevant experience/qualification of key personnel.

viii.    Evidence of three years audited account (2009-2011)

ix.      Sworn affidavit confirming that all information presented are true or that none of the Directors has been convicted of any criminal offence.

x.      Evidence of payment of Bid Document.

 

Collection of Tender Documents:

Tender Documents are obtainable from the Procurement Division, Room 305, 3rd Floor, Annex III, Federal Ministry of Communication Technology, Federal Secretariat, Phase I, Abuja as from 12th of September, 2012 on the Presentation of evidence of non-refundable Tender fee of N20, 000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira) only payable in cash to the designated bank of the Ministry. Details are obtainable at the Central Pay Office of the Ministry.

 

Submission and Opening of Tenders:

Original and two (2) copies of the Technical and Financial Bids are to be submitted in two (2) Separate envelopes enclosed in one single outer envelope sealed and marked on the top left hand corner boldly written “Title of Project”. The document should be addressed and submitted to the address below on or before Wednesday 23rd October, 2012 by 12.00 noon and the opening of the Technical Bid will take place immediately after the deadline at 1.00 pm. Bidders or their representatives, interested members of the Public and observer-are invited to witness the opening of the bids.

 

Note that Lot G will be opened on the 26th of October, 2012.

 

Financial Opening:

Only the financial bids of the Companies that meet the pre-qualification /technical criteria will be opened while the financial bids of the Companies that do not meet the technical criteria will be returned unopened. Please note that response to this invitation does not place any commitment or obligation on Federal Ministry of Communication Technology for award of contract.
