Invitation for Pre-qualification
A. Introduction
The Federal College of Freshwater Fisheries Technology, Baga, Borno state, a parastatal under Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria hereby invites application for pre-qualification exercise from reputable and competent Contractors/Companies for execution of its 2012 Capital Projects as approved.
B. Project Titles and Lots
Lot1. Construction of Fish Ponds
Lot2. Fencing of 2.5km College Premises Phase IV
Lot3. Construction of Students Hostel
Lot4. Rehabilitation of Staff Quarters Phase III
Lot5. Development of Solar Energy Phase II
Lot6. Construction of Fish Feed Mill
C. Pre-Qualification Requirements
To qualify for consideration, contractors/companies are required to submit along with the following documents for scrutiny:
(i) Evidence of Company Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
(ii) Current Company Tax Clearance Certificate for the last 3 years
(iii) Evidence of previous job experience in similar fields
(iv) Evidence of Financial competence
(v) Company VAT Registration Certificate
(vi) Company Profile indicating detailed CV’s of key company staff
(vii) List of equipment to be used for the project and their locations (where applicable)
(viii) List of key Personnel/Officers attached to the Project and their qualifications, photocopies of professional certificate as well as evidence that none of the company’s Directors has been convicted of any criminal offence relating to fraud or financial impropriety or criminal misrepresentation, falsification of fact relating to any matter.
(ix) Contractors must conform with Pension Reform Act of 2004
Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
All pre-qualification Documents should reach the undersigned in a separate and sealed envelope with the relevant lot marked on the envelope on or before 13th August, 2012 by 12.00noon. Contractors/Companies interested in more than 1 (one) lot should apply for each separately.
Pre-qualification documents shall be publicly opened on the same day at the College’s Auditorium by 1.00pm. Contractors are advised to be present or represented at the opening and should be able to produce original copies of documents, if requested.

This advertisement is not invitation to tender. Only pre-qualified contractors/companies will be invited to tender. The College shall not bear the cost of preparation of applications or any other cost(s) related to application for pre-qualification. The College also reserves the right to reject any or all the pre-qualification documents submitted. All enquiries concerning this advertisement should be directed to office of the Provost/CEO.
