General Procurement Notice for 2012 Capital and Recurrent projects

1.       Introduction:

The Federal Ministry of Transport intends to undertake the procurement of various projects under the 2012 Capital and Recurrent Budget.

 

In compliance with the Public Procurement Act 2007, the Ministry wishes to put on alert all interested and reputable Contractors/Suppliers/consultants with relevant experiences for consideration for the execution of the projects.

2 Supply of Office Furniture and Fittings
3 Supply of Computers and accessories
4 Supply of Office Equipment such as Photocopying Machines, Scanners, Fans, Printers etc.
5 Supply of Package unit Air-conditioners
6. Supply of Gaming/Sporting Equipment
7 Supply of Library Books and Equipment
8 Maintenance of Computer and Accessories
9 Motor Vehicle Maintenance
10 Maintenance of IT equipment
11 Maintenance Building Works
12 Printing of non-security documents
13 Library Information Systems
14 Computerization of the Library
15 Computerization of the Registry
16 Maintenance of Office Equipment
17 Sporting Development/Equipment
18 Reprographic and Optical imaging Facilities
19 Procurement/Installation of Lifts
20 Signalling & Communication Equipment (Ajaokuta -Warri Rail Line
21 Computerization of Accounting/Budgeting Systems, Establishment of Data Bank, E-Learning. LAN and Chip, Readable ID Cards, including Technical Support for ICT Solution
22 Provision of 11 KVA Dedicated PHCN Line
23 Construction of Additional Car Park under the Bridge, including Demarcation and Renovation of Existing Car Park
24 Construction/Completion of Abuja (IDU) Kaduna Rail Line
25 Completion of Rail Link to Onne Port Complex, Port Harcourt
26 Feasibility Studies/Construction of Rail Link to Tin Can Island, Lagos
27 Feasibility Studies/Consultancy for Standard Gauge Rail Line Egany (Okene) -Lokoja-Abaji of Rail Link to Tin Can Island.
28 Use of National Roads/National Accident Prevention, Road Transport and Transport Scheme, Road Transport Operational Manual and National Transport Master Plan
29 Feasibility Studies/Consultancy for Coastal Rail Line in the Niger Delta Region

 

The procurements will be subjected to due process mechanism and open to all eligible bidders. Subsequently within the year, Specific Procurement Notices for these procurements will be placed on the Notice Boards of the Ministry and its Parastatals/Agencies, National dailies and Federal Tenders Journal accordingly depending on their threshold as soon as the relevant solicitation/bidding documents are finalized.

 

Interested eligible bidders, who wish to participate in the bidding process, are advised to be on the lookout for the subsequent Advertisements.

 

Please note that all the documents on Responsive Criteria such as Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Value Added Tax (VAT), Pension Commission (PENCOM) and Tax Certificates may be referred to the Security Agencies, Corporate Affairs Commission, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), National Pensions Commission and other relevant bodies for verification. The Ministry also reserves the right to invoke the provisions of Section 28 of the Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2007 without incurring any liability to the bidder.
