The Project: Construction of Additional Classrooms for Primary Schools (Phase II) in the Federal Republic of Nigeria (the Project)
- The Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (the Recipient) has received the Grant based on the Exchange of Notes (E/N) between the Recipient and the Government of Japan and the Grant Agreement (G/A) between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Recipient dated June 28,2010 for the purpose of the purchase of products and services necessary for the execution of the project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the Grant to eligible payments under the contract(s) for the construction of educational facilities in Kano state,
- Japan International Cooperation System (JICS) (the Employer) acts as the agent for Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) on behalf of the Recipient to procure the products and services in accordance with the E/N and G/A. The Employer is also delegated to conclude a contract with the contractor and to make a payment to the contractor
- The Employer now invites sealed tenders from eligible and qualified tenderers for the following contract for the construction of educational facilities in Kano state

1 Tender will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified and defined in the Tender Documents and are open to all eligible and qualified tenderers from all countries. 2 Tender Documents may be purchased by interested tenderers upon payment of a non refundable fee of Twenty thousand Nigeria Nira (NGN 20,000) from September 22, 2010 to October 6th 2010 except for Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 2:00 to 5:00 in Nigerian Standard Time (NST) at the Employer’s office:
3 Tenders must be submitted to the Employer’s office on November 12th 2010. All tenders must be accompanied by the Tender Security of no less than Sixty thousand United States Dollars (USD60,000) for one (1) lot or no less than One hundred twenty thousand United States Dollars (USD120,000) for plural lots. Tenders and Tender Security shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after closing date for submission of the Tenders.
