Invitation for Pre-Qualification Tender
The Ministry of Education, Borno state invites applications from qualified and reputable companies and contractor for pre-qualification for the 2011 capital projects from 4th January -31st December.
Lot A. Complete rehabilitation of educational buildings at the three (3) Senatorial Districts of Borno North, Borno Central & Borno south.
Lot. B Bulk purchase of assorted textbooks for post primary institutions and teachers’ reference materials and library books,
Lot C Bulk purchase of science equipment, Chemicals and
Reagents for all post primary institutions in the state.
Lot D Bulk purchase of Technical equipments to Technical colleges,
Lot E Bulk purchase of students’ / Teachers’ furniture in post primary institutions.
Lot F Provision of beds/beddings, matresses and cooking utensils for boarding schools.
Lot. G Provision of additional infrastructural facilities like Laboratories, classrooms, Admin. Blocks, Examination Halls VIP toilets etc
Lot. H Accreditation of Technical Colleges in the state.
Lot. I Bulk purchase of instructional materials e.g. chalk.
teaching aids etc,
2. Pre-Qualification Requirement
To quality for consideration, interested Companies or firms are required to submit the following veritable documents:
(a) Incorporation/Registration with Corporate Affairs commission.
(b) Evidence of Registration with Borno state Government as contractor on category
‘F’ and with the Borno state Ministry of Education, Maiduguri
(c) Current Tax Clearance certificate in the last three (3) years.
(d) Company VAT Registration Certificate for the last (3) years,
(e) Company profile and qualification of some key officers of the organization.
(f) A letter of ability to perform from your Bankers)
(g) Evidence of experience on similar jobs.
3. Submission of Bids Documents
The completed tender documents are to be submitted to the Director, planning. Research and statistics, Borno state Ministry of education . Maiduguri on or before 31st March, 2011.

Opening of Tender Documents
Opening of tenders for pre-qualification will be on 31st March 2011. This notice will serve as an invitation to attend the opening of the tender document to all concern.
NB: The Ministry reserve the right, to reject part or the entire submission which does not comply with the above provision and will not enter in to any correspondence with any intending Contriver please.
