Invitation For Pre-Qualification and Tender

The Management of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara plans to execute the under listed projects under Education Trust Fund (ETF) 2009 and 2010 intervention.

2.0 Projects: Construction

Lot 1: Construction of civil Engineering Workshop

Lot 2: Construction of I.C.T centre

Lot 3: Construction of Academic office

Lot 4: Construction of 2 No books of 4 classrooms

3.0 Procurement

1. i.            Procurement of 20 nos HP desktop Computer Duocore
2. ii.            Procurement of 400 no 5 scater student Table’s and Bench
3. iii.            Procurement of Laboratory equipment and fittings to Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories
4. iv.            Procurement and installation of 1no 60 KVA parkins sound proofed Generating set complete with Armored cabling and accessories
5. v.            Procurement of items for furnishing of academic staff offices
6. vi.            Procurement of Lecture theatre furniture

Polytechnic Library

1. i.            Procurement of various assorted textbooks
2. ii.            Procurement of 1no granary digital library appliance server with installation
3. iii.            Subscription of EBSCO for E-journals

4.0 Pre-Qualification Requirements

Those interested in the pre-qualification process are required to submit comprehensive technical and financial information as follows:

a)      Certificate of Incorporation

b)      Current tax clearance certificate for the last three (3) years (Original copy for sighting)

c)      Value added Tax (VAT) Registration Certificate and Evidence of past VAT remittances

d)     Company profile and organizational structure including names and resumes of key personnel and their telephone numbers (GSM). Enclose copies of professional certificates where applicable

e)      Verifiable list of previous similar projects carried out in the past 3 years stating clients, values of the contracts, scope of work performed, contractual period for execution of contract(s), actual period of execution and evidence of completion

f)       Contactors should provide the Polytechnic with letter of authority to confirm previous relevant experience claimed in (e) above with their clients

g)      Details of financial status for the past three (3) years: copies of audited accounts and current bank statement. (i) Evidence of location of workshop to effect maintenance repair works in respect of project no. I above

Note that the original copies of documents submitted must be produces for sighting during the opening session while their absence will signify outright disqualification.

5.0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Docents

The pre-qualification documents (arranged in the order the stated criteria which should be sealed in an envelope and marked for example). “Pre-qualification for construction” must be returned not later than 28^th February 2011 to:

6.0 Opening of Pre-Qualification Bids

The pre-qualified contractor would be repaired to pay a non refundable Tender fee as follows:

1. Project worth N20m and above- N30,000
2. Project worth N10m and above- N20,000
3. Project worth N2m and below-    N10,000
