Invitation for Submission of Expression of Interest Pre-Qualification, Technical and Financial Proposals for the Execution of Some of the 2012 Capital and Recurrent Projects

 

 

Introduction

The Standards Organization of Nigeria intends to undertake the procurement of various goods, works and consultancy services, under its 2012 recurrent and Capital Budget.

 

The Agency therefore invites interested and reputable Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants respectively with relevant and adequate contracting and professional experience, as well as good track record to submit documents necessary for consideration for the execution of the following projects.

3      Requirements

All prospective bidders are required to submit the following documents

1.       Name of company, registered address, name of Chief Executive, Telephone no of company, e- mail address of company and contact telephone numbers,

2.       Certificate of Registration with CAC including, particulars of directors

3.       Evidence of certification or Exemption from PENCOM in accordance with PENCOM Act of 2004, including evidence of remittances of employees’ Pension Contribution Deductions

4.       Evidence of Technical Capability for the works, goods or services to be provided

5.       Tax Clearance Certificate for 2011, 2010 and 2009 with TIN number

6.       Company Audited Accounts for 2011,2010 and 2009

7.       Evidence of VAT Registration with TIN number

8.       Verifiable list of similar Jobs successfully executed in Nigeria in the past five years, including letters of award, project costs, job completion certificates and payments. Please provide the names, addresses, telephone and e- mail addresses of clients, as failure to do so may lead to disqualification

9.       Evidence of Financial Capability to execute the projects.

10.     company profile and all  technical/Professional qualifications of key personnel

11.     Tabulated names and address of the actual manufactures for the 13 lots in lots 11-23 as intended for supply, including the respective countries of origin country of Supply, Telephone number and Email address of Manufactures of the goods stating the relationship of your firm with the manufacturer.

 

(Please note that failure to provide the above information for verification, will lead to disqualification. All pre-qualified bidders would also be required to submit manufactures authorization, in the format required by the Public Procurement ACT, including documents and evidence of available after sales support services in Nigeria.)

 

 

12.     Submission of detailed brochure and technical details of the items intended for supply in lots 11 -23

13.     List of verifiable equipment, indicating ownership structure or lease type for works contractors

14.      A sworn affidavit that none of the Directors has been convicted in any court of law of any criminal offence.

15.     A sworn affidavit that all information submitted by way of documents etc. are correct and verifiable by SON. For insurance firms, the following additional information will be required:-

16.      Evidence of registration with NAICOM and any other professional/ international bodies.

17.     Evidence of reinsurance treaty arrangement locally and internationally for underwriters only.

19.     Evidence of similar insurance cover provided with letters of award in the last three years.

20.     Verifiable Evidence of claims paid in the last three years.

 

4. Submission of Documents/Requirements

Interested contractors, suppliers and consultants should submit One (1) Original and Two (2) copies of their pre-qualification documents, duly signed and in favour off SON, enclosed in sealed envelopes indicating the lot nos. at the top right hand corner/ of the envelope and addressed to:-

The documents should be deposited in the SON Tender Box at its office located at 52, Lome Street, Wuse Zone 1, Abuja

 

 

NOTE

The name of company should be written at the reverse side of the envelope, with contact telephone numbers and e mail address. The closing dates for all Pre-qualification and expression of interest documents is at 12 noon on the following dates as follows:

1.       Lots 1-10     13th June, 2012

2.       Lots 11-23 20th  June, 2012

3.       Lots  24-33  15th June, 2012

 

i.        Please note that the Expression of Interest and Pre-qualification document will be publicly opened at 1:00 pm on the same dates when submission would close.

ii.       All bidders who have previously purchased the bid documents for lots 11 -23 are required to make contact with SON Office to Collect the Tender Documents without incurring additional cost for tender documents previously paid for.

iii.      The Tender documents for lots 11-23 can be collected at the cost of N 10,000,00 for each lot. Those that had been pre-qualified and pay for Lots 11-23 will not pay any additional money.

iv.      All subsequently pre-qualified bidders will be invited to pay and collect the BIDDING DOCUMENTS for the submission of Technical and Financial Proposals in accordance with Public Procurement Act and other procurement regulations.
